IDK about anyone else, but I honestly want to see a video or live stream that's just a chill mini-painting day at the studio. No theme, no rush, just painting, chatting, and hanging out.
This is extremly awesome! So well made and explained! I will recommend this to anyone interested in the game, i have 2 full starter Armies here and already tought a friend the game. This Video will simplify this even more cause people can learn the game prior to the first real game and get a real good feel for it.
You guys have the slickest looking videos it’s not even close. Editing on points and I started playing this game during adepticon and this is a huuuge help!
@@kaibe5241 Of course they do. GW is lazy because of its longstanding near-monopoly on the hobby and tabletop wargamers' unusual levels of tolerance for unreasonably high prices. They can "get away with" bad behaviour, whereas these smaller companies need to actually do BETTER than GW in order to draw people away from them. This is real market competition.
One of the best how to's of any game I've watched in some time. The way you joke and also the knowledge makes it a great video to watch. Thanks!/Gracias!
I love these conquest videos! The models look so crazy cool! And the rules are rlly easy to grasp just by watching. Would love to see different scenarios played on the channel
I've watched all of your games of Conquest and I have to say, the minis look great & the rules seem easy to learn. Both of those are great things. Thanks for this learning to play video.
I don’t think this is a game that I’ll personally play, but I love watching y’all showcasing other, less known tabletop games! Makes it feel like a tabletop community rather than just a Warhammer channel (although I love warhammer too😂)
Awesome dude, reason I joined your paid support, not that your other videos were not good some of the best around. Hope the game company pays attentions to your videos and continues to support your show... as always keep on having fun
Thanks for this!! I watched the live stream the other day and while it was cool, the minis looked great, and Tycho and Nick seemed to have a lot of fun, I had basically no idea what was happening the entire time!
Very cool video, high quality, and very informative, you seem like you'd be a fun guy to game with too. thanks for the video, been learning this myself over the last few weeks.
Team, thoroughly enjoy the enthusiasm. Definitely those miniatures were expertly painted and looked phenomenal. And the instruction... Well, the instruction was outstanding. There's a lot to like about this game And you did a phenomenal job pointing out the differences from other gameplay styles.
Well, you did it - you pushed me towards another wargame. It's because of you I'm painting Spire clones right now... Thanks for the great content! More Conquest please!
@Play On Tabletop: Think all of it was great, though i would prefer the on going of the game ^^ Escpecially likes the part where you show us the cards and the values and so on. Oh and it would be great if you would show us first blood and how to play it / the differences between both rules. (Just subscribed to your channel.. so i won't miss a post^^)
I'm beginning to know this game through you guys, this fantasy game just need some more mythological creatures to capture my definitive attention. Some faction could have griffons, dragons and the W'adrhun could have more dino models such as ankies, Nords could have sabertooth cats, mammoths and bears. I also love how some real world cultures inspire the factions, maybe a future Celtic inspired faction could have Bears and sabertooth cats, while a Native North American could have mammoths.
Had a chance to check out Conquest at my FLGS today, was a nice crowd for a learn-to-play event and it sounded like we're already considering a weekly league with monthly army expansions. As someone who has a primary interest in collecting and painting (my #1 army building strat is rule of cool!) the scale of the models has been great to work with, though I do look forward to some of the sprue designs being a little cleaner to work with in future (e.g heads being attached to the sprues at the back of the neck, as opposed to the current front of the jaw connection.) That's just me being nit-picky however, 3 feet to fabulous, and all armies looked really sharp on the tables. Looking forward to more Conquest content, both via TH-cam and in person!

I love your enthusiasm and it its infective enough that I would say yes to a demo of this game in my LGS. But the premise of using a QR code on a card, to look up the rules... not on the same card makes me think they are not confident that rules won't be constantly changing (aka didn't play test it, that's what players are for). I'm glad you were honest about this though, so props as an intro.
I just voted on their website. It feels really immersive, I used to be a warhammer fantasy player. Now I have to try this. Great video, but you should keep Nick in the background everytime you guys play hundred kingdoms. Missed their voices
If there's one thing that drew me into Play On, its Tycho's enthusiasm. This man could sell me a wargame that uses just pen caps and paperclips , I'd buy it. Edit: Also. NO ELVES! =D
Interesting game style!! Might one day invest in some of these models! I also noticed the activation game mechanics are very similar to Star Wars Legion
Very cool video! I'm more of a painter than a gamer - I enjoy watching the 40K and AoS videos on this channel, but I'm not really interested in playing myself. This is the first game that has really got me interested in the prospect of playing, largely due to watching y'all play! Looking forward to seeing more on this channel. One critique, the music starting at 28:40 is a little obtrusive, particulary the snare drumming part. Especially since people were talking at that point.
Thanks for the how to video, I still need to paint my conquest set. Out of curiosity, any chance we could see some One Page Rules content one day? Would love to see some larger batrep channels give it a try.
I really enjoy the game and your enthusiasm. The Hellbringer Drake however is not devastating whatsoever on the battlefield, sadly x) other than that, I agree with you! :D
This feels like a catch 22. It's hard for a game to take off if the community doesn't exist, so waiting for the community to exist makes it harder for the game to take off. That being said, it's about to be easier to find as it will be distributed by Asmodee
I've been collecting and painting tau and drukari for about a year now but never played 40k rules seem extremely confusing for a total noob. But this game I could easily get on board with seems a lot easier to learn and just as fun to play . Great tutorial really well explained
What a cool game. I find it refreshing that they made ranged attacks feel impactful BUT made everyone as accurate as an Ork. “Yeah my bow pierces armour like nobodies business, but firing this thing is REALLY hard.” All games should default with Ork aiming stats
I want to start 1-2 armies from conquest so I can invite friend to play but it's nearly impossible to make the desicion which factions I like more. xD All of them have really cool models and stuff. I really like that this game is so much faster paced and easier to learn than 40k which is good if you don't have whole day to play 1 match or try to teach friend to play :D
So quick question about starting the game. How do you determine which units start on the field? Do you have to roll for them as well or do you choose one to start with?
I just went on their website to look at their rules an I found something weird : in the Quickstart rules, on the first round, light units arrive on 3 or less but in the complete rules, they arrive on 4 or less. do you know why this is so different ?
@@PlayOnTabletop I asked on a facebook page and effectively, the quick start rules are not updates. They made the change to be consistent with the game wich is a really good idea. also, on a 4 less, it's the same thing than a 4 + so, everyone has more chance to bring someting on the table at the 1st turn... wich is way better than 3 less
Mmmh... The models are pretty nice but seeing how I usually roll badly on initiative and stuff like that, I think I'll be screwed over by the activation mechanic, having only a small part of my army on the field for a long time, or getting my units dogpiled one after the other because they appeared one by one... Is there any way to avoid that in the game ?
Most armies have an way to add the flanking special rules to some units. Meaning that they automatically come in. Lots of special characters and upgrades allow you to mitigate that.
Im trying to love this game but when i played my second game as old dominion againts dwarfs, dude had dmg negation, strong attacks, re rolling hits, somehow more units and i had only basic infantry wich had no special traits, i quit after rolling 16 dice! and only got 3 hits, which my opponent blocked. After that i gave up on the game

I actually left GW for its terrible prices and rules. Since day one of this game, I knew it would pierce out and succeed for what it is.
Honestly, most games are SO much better than GW's yuk. Most games play so, so much better. Branch out a bit ;)
