German, 60. A twin cannon does not double the hit rate, but reduces the hit probability because the recoil of one cannon distorts the hit pattern of the other cannon. The target image of a single cannon is therefore always more accurate, which is why a single cannon consumes less ammunition.

@@gargoyle7863 Hello, the solitary placement in two separate turrets would indeed be worth considering, although this would again result in compromises in the field of fire and each turret would represent its weak point. Ultimately, we always consider mathematical functions with many variables in constructions, the optimum of which can only be described mathematically in order to achieve an optimum result. It also makes a difference whether you are fighting a manned or unmanned target, because even if the real number of hits will be exactly the same, a human is also affected by non-hits, whereas a drone, missile etc. is not. If you can get a sensitive enough proximity fuse that can pick up the small FOV drones, you won't need high rates of fire. It would be a good idea to pair this with an EW system on another vehicle. Redundacy is good.

What is the reason for this small amount of rounds?
You only need 2-3 rounds for a target.
It is not that small. On the old Bofors 40L70 you had less, although these were 40 mm rounds, however without advanced technology. Constantly men had to top up the amount of grenades to feed the gun.
Rheinmetall has claimed that the single barrel Skyranger (30 or 35mm) is more accurate, thus using fewer rounds per target, then the dual 35mm Gepard.
