    Thank you. Helped me for 2004 Honda Pilot. Saw other videos but needed one that actually showed how to get the plastic piece off too lol 😂

    Wow. Thank you! Ordered a part - maybe 13 bucks and change.. 10 or 15 minutes install cleanup. I now have AC blowing through the center console and filtering it into the back of the vehicle. Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. So helpful. 2006 pilot - 208k mileage. We’re just going to keep replacing and keep driving!

    So easy! We have 2007 Honda Pilot EXL w/Navi. Watched the video twice. Ordered very similar part on Amazon for $3 more (linked part out of stock). One of the comments earlier said to remove resistor BEFORE detaching connector to wire harness. That suggestion was an improvement to the overall procedures in the video. Total project time was 5min. Feel like I saved 30min of shop fees. T Minus Today for the win!!

      Thanks for the comment. I'll link to a search term instead, apparently, they like to change sellers a lot for this part.

    I used the link for the part and the video for instruction. I was able to fix it in under 15 minutes. You saved me lots of time and money (and 2 teens complaining). Thank you!

    Great! It worked for me. It was so easy!! That mesh really needed it to be clean 😮. We bought I used car a few months ago and it seems they never cleaned it. But thank you so much. For the first time, me changing a part of a car it was exciting! 😅

    Thanks! Informative. Thanks for taking time to share. I've added it to my Pilot Playlist. It seemed to me that it measured as a failure in the bench test. I'm gonna look at mine. I've imagined the worst so haven't really investigated. Thanks again

    If you take the defective part out before disconnecting the wire it makes the job wayyy easier. And reattach the wire before replacing the part

    Hello! I have an 02 MDX. Read AC doesnt work I did what the video shows. But no luck. I notice the rear AC buttons/lights (orange lights) dont work. Maybe that’s my problem…. May I ask, what you would do to fix that? Probably a fuse?

    Is the resistor supposed to be super hot? Google said yes, this may be a stupid question, but I just want to be safe.

    some say to put ac/heater into 'test mode'. put key in position II, then press and hold both 'off' and 'defrost' buttons - until you see some led flash 5 times. then you release the two buttons. but when i tried this pressing my 'dash defrost' button and 'off' - nothing happened (no lights flashed). instead it just turned on the unit. and when i tried pressing my 'rear windows defrost' button and 'off'. it caused the led above the 'rear defrost' button to solidly illuminate. im obviously not understanding how to do this. can anyone add the missing info please?

    Common problem apparently. Bought the Amazon part, put it in fixed that problem, but created another. Can’t listen to radio due to horrendous ignition type noise in audio system when engine is running, even with volume turned completely down. If it’s just in ignition on position, it’s quiet until engine is started. Unplug the new resistor it’s quiet again. I suspect either faulty grounding in new resistor or bad ground in nav/audio system. The noise also shows on the nav display.🤬

      @tminustoday  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds awful. Do you think it's a QC problem? I didn't have an issue like you described. This method worked for me, might be worth a return with Amazon and try again? Returns are so easy with Amazon.

      @brettmccloskey6792 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tminustoday It does sound awful, literally. I won't have time to troubleshoot again until Saturday afternoon and the first thing I'm checking is for a good ground in the Nav/audio; then adding a new dedicated body ground. to that system before I try it again with the new resistor. It is a 16 yr old vehicle, maybe something came loose.

    Just 1 question is there a fuse for this thing

    • @josecamacho2533
      @josecamacho2533 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is, pup the hood open is on the fuse box on the left side wen you open the hood, os a 30 A fuse, it actually say on the fuse box cover

  • @chiangbee9213

    How did you know it was the resistor

    • @tminustoday
      @tminustoday  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't, I just guessed. I figured $15-20 bucks wasn't the worst loss if it wasn't it.

      The rear AC on my 2005 Pilot stopped working. Checked the 30 AMP fuse in the fuse box under the hood first. The took it to the local Honda dealer. They said it was the transistor and the blower motor--$1800 to replace both. Bought the transistor from Amazon and that fixed it--less than $20!. In your case, if it's not the transistor or a blown fuse, then it's probably the blower motor itself. I think they're less than $200 online and there are some good videos here on YT as to how to replace it. Doesn't look too difficult.

      Hey man! Where is that transistor located? Or is that what this video is showing being replaced?@@bobbyg212

      I know you made this video 2 years ago. So, first, I hope all is well with you and your family. Second, as is customary for DIY YT videos, I want to thank you. While other videos were also helpful, yours was the most thorough in regards to showing everything, starting with the removal of the plastic panel. I did not know the rear air was not working as I rarely ride in the back. During a road trip, my sister in law told me I didn’t not have air. lol!! I just got home, watched your video, ordered my Amazon part and got things working again, God bless you brother!!! 👍🏾
