I wish i had camera when my 15.7 hit the SG rat. Came flying from 8 feet away inhaled the rat. Absolutly nutts. My mate sat on the floor on the phone, pike hit and same second he was on hes feet 😂 just bend the hell out of the lip to make it a wake bait and its ok 😁

I think pike around me would piss themselves laughing if I cast that at them! They don't seem to know that frogs and rats are food! I've had one hit in 3 hours of using them, things are really slow for me at the minute. I've got like 150 acres of Lough's around me and am struggling to catch pike of any size, had to buy a new light set-up to make fishing a bit more fun. Have you ever tried drop shotting for rainbow trout? Brilliant fun when nothing else is playing ball.
Snapped my 2 month old rod a couple days ago just snagged in a some weed with 15lb braid, local tackle shop couldn’t care less, saying “Rods snap”… completely disappointing
My reel broke after 2nd time using it and got the same response, I spent a good bit in that shop over the years if they'd any sense they'd have replaced it for free! Ah well stuffs cheaper online!
Get yourself a westin W3 powershad either spin or trigger and you dont have to worry about it breaking, im using the powershad - T (Trigger) 40 - 130. Last saturday i stopped a 123cm pike with it, pike went off like a steamtrain 😂
Pike are really dumb. If they bite - whatever you throw they just go after it. There is no point in buying these expensive lures. I think someone should start to make fun of these commercial vlogs on youtube and start catching pike with lures made of old shoes and broken cutlery

FYI, If you clean and lightly oil your reel brakes, it will cast a lot better, and stop screeching.

Well over 30 pike in the season so just keep going is my advice

I have the same rat it’s a really good catcher.
Add an extension between the lure and hook. But, you really need a new net.

I really struggled with catching pike, but as soon as I changed over to jigflies, I was catching loads. I really can’t recommend jigflies enough.
What reel are you using buddy? I just got a Shimano casitas. Hoping it's better than the cheapo one I had before

@@danielnystrom7310 I'm 99% sure that's the rod I'm using at the minute it's great for twitching the jerkbaits and light.
@@BUSTERy i use westin W3 or w4 for softbait and swimbait and abu beast pro for jerkbait
Should be covered by warranty, shop should replace and they get it sorted with suppliers.
