Montreaux is beautiful and as Freddie said-it brings peace to your soul. Shame on the London authorities for still not honoring him after all these years.
I’ve been to Montreux a few times, the last just about 6 weeks ago and the weather was so perfect. We visited Freddie’s statue everyday, as did so many people, both locals and visitors from all over the world. The entire region is such a magical place. As Freddie sings, quiet and blissful, and a truly magnificent view. We walked miles lakeside, down past his apartment and beyond. The scenery never stops, and there are wonderful sculptures and interesting pieces of art to explore. I’m looking forward to coming back to this beautiful place which has become a favorite destination for me to visit.

In 1978 - Queen went to Mountain Studios, Montreux, Switzerland to record Jazz album. During a thunderstorm one night, Brian recorded a thunderclap, later used on ‘Dead On Time’, credited “courtesy of God”.
Brian May is one of if not the greatest guitar player ever, he’s an astrophysicist but most importantly of all he seems like a genuinely very kind person
