I'd never heard this account before. What a beautiful memory, and tribute to Freddie. The wonderful little details of their first meeting that he observed and comments on reminded me very much of my own impressions of Freddie the day I met him. Except for the lisp - I don't remember that! His beautiful way of speaking in an accent I couldn't quite place, and his seeming to instantly make up his mind about you - TBH, I was amazed he wanted to talk to me, but he did, stopping what he was doing and deliberately positioning himself in the middle of the passageway, waiting for me to approach, with his eyes sparkling with mischief! (And, I thought, a sexual invitation, but I could've been mistaken...) When I looked away, embarrassed, he instantly responded, dropping the sexy look and switching to a very genuine, warm smile - only hampered by the fact he was also trying to keep his teeth covered (as I realised a bit later, when he forgot, and burst out laughing - at himself, as it happened - revealing all...). Thanks so much for posting this and bringing back those sweet memories once again... <3

I think Montserrat could have been at Freddies Funeral for he truely admired and loved her music .He even wrote a song about her Country as she had asked him to do and he did with them singing the songs he wrote together.It was an honour to hear her sing at freddies funeral but not from a record in person would have id say been better and an honour to freddie.A funeral lasts for 3 days so out of those 3 days she could have attended through respect for freddie.i mean no offence saying what i said just my oponion thats all.34 years gone but his memorie lives on in our hearts with the show must go on as he would id say have said.Rest in peace freddie 🕊🦋💐🐬🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿💐💐🌿🌹💐🌿🌹💐🌿🌹💐🌿🌹💐🌿🌹🕊🦋🐬🌹💐🌿🕊🙏AMEN.
