Polishing the game takes more time than adding features so it's easy to make something the same size and have the same mechanics but the quality would be massively noticeable. Then there's the writing games have to add certain things to games to get insurance so they spend a lot of time dealing with that which slows progress. Finally they have to spend a certain amount of time hyping up the game to ensure sales you can't announce a launch date immediately or within a few months you need to tease it and build a hype culture around it so they hold off on releasing straight away. Would not be surprised if delays for bug fixes would be a marketing tactic to "show that this company really cares" because they're are bugs straight after the opening sequence which is where game journalists stop playing. A few more reasons but most of game development time is just inefficient due to factors outside of their control
If you want people to take a course and pay you based off this "showcase", you're gonna be disappointed. That Replica voice acting was horrible, no one in the history of humanity has ever talked like that.
Alright, was more of just a fun 24 Hour challange but I hear what your saying and yeah the voice acting was not the best, but was fun to experiment and try with
24 hours is amazing. These things take time and polish so a quick spin up game is very impressive. Replica is fantastic for filling in some blanks at a very low cost. I wouldn’t try to build an entire game out of it but for small dialogue and more basic npcs it’s a huge help
the voice acting was better then forespoken though
The web slinging sound... I can't unhear it...
😂 the orginal sound is blood stab sound effect, I thought it sounded close enough
Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
Wow, those voices are not good. The rest is pretty cool though.
😂
Nice work! Any update on your ninja Steam game?
Not at the moment, I kind of stopped working on it for now, although I may work on another game instead
@@UnrealUniversity Aww, that is a shame, I was looking forward to playing it. Well I am interested to see what you do next!
@@RobReillyKwell tbf it could come back I still have the files, although I may be working on a new game project so, stay tunned
Awesome how you made all this in 24 hours
thanks bro
makes you wonder what takes these devs so long
