This is the most wonderful program Thank Pastor Borh. I'm so blessed by you and the team I'm watching on my lunch break. The lady at my work are very cruel and hateful but I'm praying the love of Jesus walks into their hearts. Please keep me in your prayers 🙏 Thank you.

This is a wonderful program pastor thank you! I wanted to point out something you said at around the 13:23 mark. You said Jesus did not ascend to heaven until 40 days after the resurrection. However, in The Desire of Ages, chapter 82 ("Why Weepest Thou?"), page 790, starting at the second paragraph, Jesus says, "Detain Me not" to Mary. Sister White then explains the reason He said this was because He had not yet ascended to His Father (John 20:17). She goes on to explain that He refused to receive the homage of His people until He had the assurance that His sacrifice was accepted by the Father." He then ascended to His Father and received the assurance that His sacrifice was accepted. Then on page 793 it says: "AFTER He had ascended to the Father, Jesus appeared to the other women, saying, "All hail. And they came and HELD HIM BY THE FEET, and worshiped Him." He made a quick trip to heaven, to present Himself before God, and received the assurance that His sacrifice was accepted, then He returned to earth for 40 days. This is when the women were allowed to worship Him and touch Him. Amen.

I have no clue how to ask you a question or where you get your questions outside of these comments.
But I’d like to know: should smokers be allowed to smoke on church property after the fellowship supper/pot luck meal?
The small apartment complex (where I live) rules are for people to step off the property to smoke.
Low income housing is not even considered holy ground. Still, smokers are not allowed to smoke on “Housing authority” property.

"As Christ ascends while in the act of blessing His disciples, an army of angels encircle Him as a cloud. Christ takes with Him the multitude of captives as His trophy. He will Himself bring to the Father the first fruits of them that slept to present to God as an assurance that He is conqueror over death and the grave.
"Lift up your heads, O ye gates: and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors: and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory." Psalm 24:7-10 "

I can't see that the no buy no sell is figurative for believers in relation to the 10 virgin parable, because it says no buy no sell unless you have the mark of the beast. So it would only refer to unbelievers because actually they're the ones who CAN buy and sell - they've compromised. It's prolly just one of many other restrictions on those who obey God. Certainly not the only one. I've always taken it literally but am interested in looking into a figurative view.

He's stated there will be a literal no buy no sell as well as a figurative application in that the remnant will not be "selling the word without money to the buyers" after probation closes.

I'd like to know? Why is it that not all Pastors, within the SDA denomination, agree on the 144,000 being symbolic or literal? I'm new to SDA and this is the only thing I can't see to understand why one denomination has different versions. I think it should be a universal teaching and why isn't it? So after all, if literal, the world if filled with MILLIONS of people, how is it that 144,000 are the only ones to be saved AMONGS THE MILLIONS/BILLIONS? It doesn't make sense for it to be literal. Thank for answering my question. Thank you.

That's because SDA pastors and theologians are permitted to come to their own conclusions. The only way you can get anywhere close to approximating universal agreement on a topic like this is if the "correct" view is somehow mandated from the top down.

@@Jarrodjohn2007 than I think this serious issue should be viewed and kept as a universal teaching because it is scary.

@@jmarrero1124 I respectfully disagree. Because it is scary, it is important that we get it right. To do that, freedom of thought and the right to disagree (or agree) must be preserved.

@@Jarrodjohn2007 I got you.. I agree with you that we must get it right. I'm just trying to make sense of it all. I need to know the right thing- biblically.

@@jmarrero1124 And I agree with you. 😊👍 One of the reasons that the SDA church does not mandate one "corrrect" view in such matters are the odds of that view being wrong and never getting corrected because disagreement is not allowed. That's how erroneous creeds get entrenched into a church.
And, I admit, it is tough enough to correct wrong, entrenched views, or prevent the acceptance of wrong, outside views, when freedom of dissent *is* protected.
But, freedom of dissent is the only way I know of to weed out bad ideas.
(At least, until we can have Jesus attend the next General Conference Himself and tell us what's up. As much as I'd like that to happen, I'm not betting on it.)
BTW, I really liked your question and am glad you asked it.

There are expressions like "that was a hard won experience" or "going thru that cost me a lot".I think the verse refers to it being the end, we have no more time to build our character to be like Christ's at that point!
