All these negative comments are just bullshit. Gary would be proud of his sons - they can do whatever they want with their father’s music. In time they will grow and make their own mark. KEEP PLAYING!

Gary was special let's not forget that. Nobody can play like Gary and they shouldn't try. Credit to Jack and Gus for doing this, their dad would be proud of them.

I mean how can you not respect his sons honouring their father. Beautiful gesture ! Having that said, Jack is a decent guitar player and deserves credit for his effort to sound like his dad....but in all honesty his playing somehow just doesn't hit you in the feeler like Gary's would. Gary was unique as was his heart/soul connection through his strings straight in to the hearts of the crowd. Gary's playing would often cause tears of admiration to flow over faces, including mine.. Don't feel that here.
Still, again, much respect for the effort, and he is still young. Perhaps as he ages he will manage to grow in to what separates good guitar playing from Soul touching Great guitar playing.
Gary was an original player...his rifs were his own,And I agree with everything you said santafan.
It's a pretty high bar to compare to! Jack's a great guitarist in his own right, to compare him to Dad is pointless. What I will say is that no one can possibly know Dad's playing better than him and at times watching him play evokes the same feeling as watching Dad
You are right, Garys emotion he put through those strings will forever be unmatched. This is absolutely gorgeous in its own way though.
This is great to see and hear! Encourage them! Two boys making their way in the world after the devastating loss of their dad. Bless them both.🙏

Gary was not even listed in the top 100 on most lists, yet he was the greatest blues guitarists there ever was. Of course for me it's Carlos, Jimi, and Gary.

@@GuitarerMickieP Each to their own i guess. I was referring to the fact they were honouring Gary more than anything else. Gary is more likely to have proud of his boys - as most fathers would, rather than cringe in my opinion.

I listen to him every day of life. I dont normally do regrets but missing Gary play live has to be my greatest. If you boys ever play over here it would be a privilege to hear you. @@IRISHDIRTYDOG1 much appreciated, for every tone-deaf fan of his is a fan like yourself that speaks with understanding. I just wish people knew that Jack and I both obviously know we can never compare, we just wanted to play a song for him and the occasion called for it. Jack is a brilliant guitarist in his own right anyway so seeing people critique him the way they do makes me laugh in all honesty. You may as well tell any guitarist in existence they're nothing in comparison to Dad, no shit, no one is!
Also props to whoever recorded this, ts amazing for what it is

@@GMLucGM There are some things that should never be attempted by anyone other than the original artist. There is no point...Gary was absolutely a one-off musician. Everything in one package. Quite frankly , this performance is absolutely terrible.
