I realize I’m incredibly late on this posting but I’m just now seeing this-simply Outstanding! Been a gear-head all my life; never could afford one of these; 60-yrs. old now and still can’t afford one...regular folk will not be able to afford these again but it’s great to fan the flames 🔥 of desire. Thx! Be well.
Thats a great comment, really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I'm 38 and will make these videos till the day I die. Thanks for following Samspace81
RamblinAround In 1984-1985, As A Teenager, I Had The Distinct Pleasure Of Having A 1968 427/390 Yellow T-Top 4-Speed Corvette!! Wish I Still Had It! GUY CAR ALL THE WAY!!
That's I thought too. I noticed his air cleaner said 425hp. That was only for 1971. 1972 the Corvette was only offered with the LS5 rated like you said at 270 due to the drop in compression ratios. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.😎
That exhaust sounds fabulous.....but that low oil pressure @ idle as well as underway, + a lot of unwanted motor sounds raises serious flags in THIS guy's garage!
Glad I don't bring my hi-perf '76 Vette to your garage... those sounds are the lope in a high lift/duration performance camshaft; you should know this garage boy!
also, that oil pressure gauge is broken; if the oil was that low, then kaboom push rods!!! Come on garage boy, I need you to focus!!! Don't leave me now!!!
I wish I was in Texas, where the grass is green, sun 🌞 shining, birds singing & the TEXAS flag waving in thr background. Up here we have no sun 😢, just dark days & snow.
This early C3 design is way way before it's time. The C2 either though it's a "classic" it cannot even come close to this Ferrari shaped masterpiece. I had to say it..let the stoning began. Ouch.
Beautiful car and that 72 was the last year for front and rear chrome bumpers(which i loved) 73 had the rear chrome bumper only then along with the horse power leaving we got those stupid looking black rubber bumper pieces( 74-79) and I just hated them
Horsepower didn’t change much from 1971 to 1973, they were just rated different. I think in 1972 they went to net horsepower as opposed to gross. The 1973 454 was rated at 275 net, but was making 365ish gross.
68 good but a few problems needed ironing out 69/70 the best of the C3s , 71/72 last of the chrome bumpers front and back but smog regs started sapping power. Than all rest the rest of the oh hum C3s almost a embarrassment to be call a Vette
I like how there's no words. It can be fully enjoyed by anyone no matter what language they speak.

Richard Kaltenbach Yeah, that was an awesome car. That's really cool that you used to have one.
I was born that year. The '72 LS5 Vette is at the top of my list of potential cars I want in my garage. Make mine a red 454 convertible please.

454/270 LS-5 SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!

Solid lifter LS6 cam makes a ton of music. Don’t be alarmed.
@@sqr2024It’s an LS-5. LS-6 not available in ‘72. Unless the engine was swapped out. LS-5 had hydraulic lifters so should not have that clatter.
Awesome car 👍🏻
It sure is!

You are more than welcome anytime, Lung Dong! What part of the country are you from? :) I appreciate you watching Samspace81

Absolutely, great cars
Look at frame 4:47. No other car in the world has this stance.. It looks like it's going to eat you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Big Block perfection

+clemenza24 '72 is definitely a GREAT year and this is an exceptional Vette. Thanks for the comment and I hope you enjoy the channel.

72 also last year for the removable rear window on the Coupe, the end of a really cool feature.
Nice gaps! Probably been re fitted, most original panels didn’t fit this well.
Goof eye I see things like this too
Sam, thanks for this very nice video. The sound of that Vette is awesome! Is it the stock exhaust system?
I'm sure it had Flowmasters or Magnaflows, can't remember. Thanks for watching Samspace81
My favorite
Appreciate you watching Butch
めちゃカッコイイ!究極のC3だ!

Pretty much true 👍
Nice...
+V8AmericanMuscleCar I agree! Sweet Music
hey samspace im back
welcome back! You like that Vette?
yes its very nice i only have the 427 69 vette
Laurie Smythe Well that's not a bad thing to have at all! haha
samspace81 your right its not bad thing to have except when your back hurts when your working on it for hours on end
You should have someone call out the features while videotaping
I got my own style but appreciate you 💯 commenting
Driver needs to quit riding that clutch pedal, bad for the throw out bearing. Nice car but that low oil pressure would worry me.
LOL , Thats what i was saying! Cringed when i saw that !
Yep! He couldn’t drive a greasy carrot up a horses ass
It lived. It sold.
It sits too high on its suspension.
Does sit high, thanks for watching
Does not sound right. May need motor mounts, and muffler brace. And water remover added to gas tank.
Anything else? 😆 🤣
TOTAL TESTOSTERONE CAR ALL THE WAY!!
Nothing ESTROGEN About This! Or ANY CORVETTE!! Doesn't Matter What Year!
