As a single man just employed in the mines, I am at home at house No. 5B section 22 in Mpatamatu busy preparing food just before I am about to go for work night shift; the song is coming from the nearby Mwaiseni cork tail bar less than twenty metres from my special quarters dwelling house.

It's 2009 on a Friday afternoon doing my 12th grade at mutanda secondary school and we have gone to a nearby village called kandakanda to by some local beverage (munkoyo). These songs are playing as we are drinking the local beer with my friends. Little did i know that we were creating golden memories. Fast forward, its 04/12/2023 and i meet a patient who only understands kaonde. I start talking to her and everyone gets surprised. After getting done with my round I get back to my car just so I can listen to these songs. kaonde people are friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much for the hospitality you gave me. I really miss my high school days ..
The song brings memories of my late father. All the way from Eastern province, he could sign along while playing it in his record player. Rest on daddy
This is real Zambian Muzik not these rubbish songs we've been subjected to.......I remember in the 90's my grandfather playing this Muzik in Chinsali Zambia (Poya village)pa chilimba cana seleti
I think calling it rubbish is ridiculous, music evolves, it will always sound different in every era. If you enjoy the oldies that's your preference, that shouldn't make the rest "rubbish"

The song is in Kaonde Language Last verse combines and says parents as opposed to mother or father, which is bansemi - both parent, instead of mama - mother, or tata-father
