Been always listening to this song in those days on MBC radio 1. And i've always thought it was a Malawian song up until today wen i've known it is a Zambian song. What a song!
i have agree with kalonji...tathokoza kwa mbiri...loved this song, best belive it ruled the air waves in Malawi...and we say ku Malawi..'zikomo kwambiri!!'
This song reminds me of my late father, he would play this song the whole day on weekends. May your dear soul rest in eternal peace, till we meet again 😢😢😢
Missing Zambia and the Good old days. First heard this song when I was eight, seated with my late grand mother and her little two band radio, sipping on bottled cocacola under the old mango tree in our back garden, nibbling on cassava and boiled shelled nuts! When life was oh so simple, beautiful and stress free!
This reminds me back then when in Malawi we had only one radio station, nyimbo zake zinali zoterezi, when I listen to this kind of music up to today wamzanga amadabwa hey what's up with me. But this is real music, real message, everything is just so real from the real love of music.
One of my imotional song😢 growing up being helped by strangers and being offered food they kept for the dogs😢 I have experienced the cruelness of this world, I never get hilled whenever I listen to this song 😢😢

I’m a millennial, but I absolutely love this song... friends my age don’t understand why I love it. But it just makes so much sense to me listening to it.
Am from Malawi, this song reminds me of my time as a young boy, that time we only had one Radio station MBC Radio and everyone knew this song back in the 90's brings back childhood memories,
One of the most beautifully crafted songs you will ever hear. Wonderfully told story of an orphan abused by his uncle who really didnt love him, but today the orphan is good enough for the uncle to love. Today the uncle wants money from the orphan to get treatment and he answers, "ask the food that you used to deny me for that that money, because you never loved me, how is that today I am worthy of your love". I thank my late father for sharing this entire album with me still one of my very favourite
On that cold August day,1985 when the reality of having become stateless stated to sink. The news Papers were all front paged...... At The Nipa club , l heard these songs for the first time. As l embraced my second home,l slowly understood the words and now my inherited culture. Zambia zikomu. KK zikomu.
This is my favorite song ever🇿🇲👏👏👏...I always fail to express how I feel when I listen to it because it hits deep in my soul and I get so emotional😢, this is the real Zambian music to the core.💯🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
