Excellant demonstration of film music with carnatic ragas

There are atleast 100 full fledged songs in Tamil cinema based on sindhu bhairavi. Interestingly, two songs in that raga in one and the same movie. 'chithamellaam enakku siva mayame' and 'aadhi sivan thaal paninthu' in the same 'Tiruvarutchelvar' movie. Again, 'Agara mudala ezhuththellaam' and 'Deivam iruppathu enge" in the same 'Saraswathi Sabhadham' movie.
Mr Mani should have gone into the making of some such songs, how the music director chose this raga, what were the views of directors, how the singers were trained to sing them, etc., instead of describing the ragalakshana.

TMS himself has sung atleast 10 songs in this Ragam. Mr Mani should have mentioned this atleast.
This is the one raga which manifests all rasaas like bhakthi, romance ("ayiram thamarai mottukkale, unakkenna vere', adaludan paadalai kettu,....), pathos (ennai yaarendru, annamitta kaikaLukku, vaazhnhthaalum esum,......) and folklore (Manapparai maadu katti, paarththaa pasumaram,...).
Cinema and Sindhu Bhairavi - one can get doctorate on the subject.
