The max multiplier used to be x128, but they nerfed this as it was too silly. Bullet cancels also got buffed in value to bring them more in line. Btw I got a no-hit clear of this earlier. The only way I got over the 2m limit was by getting a 128x on one of the battleships. Also, you can get multiplier bonus on the orbs but the actual score bonus you get from it is not very much (I get a x2 on my video, not very lucrative).

I guess. I think it's fun but I wish things were explained a bit. Are you supposed to save orbs for difficult patterns to turn into medals or just stack orbs for the multiplier?

It's secret shmup content you only unlock after appx 2-3 runs into the game (for me, like 30 hours lol) and do a bunch of hidden stuff. But I am sure someone will send you the cheat code to unlock it right away if you ask...

It already is released to the public... this game is a secret unlockable mode in Void Stranger which has a genuinely insane boss fight.
