Emma O'Reilly and David Walsh react to the Lance Armstrong interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Amazing that people still defend Lance by saying "everyone" did drugs. Lance didn't create drugs but the way he treated other people who were just telling the truth is what makes him stand out as the biggest fraud. Anyone who defends him should be ashamed of themselves.

What nonsense! How could Lance be a hero - not only did take drugs but he 1) "ranted down" others who were caught and 2) made life hell for those he tried to expose him. For these two reasons there can be no apology, and no excuses that can be made for his dishonest and ruthless behavior.
I'm not a fan of Tubbridy, but this is one of his better interviews - he let them do the talking, and Walsh & O'Reilly both seem straightforward decent people with good values.
Armstrong was finally shown up to be the piece of crap that he was - liar , manipulator , bully - a man that pissed on anyone who crossed him ,double crossed competitors whom he saw as a threat (Tyler Hamilton to the UCI ) and a fraud. Doping was his least offence. A sociopath that hopefully will always be associated with shame . Kudos to all those who spoke and stood up for the truth even when Armstrong squeezes with litigation whilst presenting himself to the world as this great guy.

I feel that slightly as well. But I don't it was spiteful of her. He had already started to tear into her, and she was a good soldier for years denying the truth.
This guy has a personal campaign, Lance doped yes,he learned the ropes from existing regime where the greatest riders who won tours all doped.For years everyone just though the European riders were super men and English riders can't beat them because they were clean.As soon as Lance realised this he just did what the Europeans did, all riders are tested and tests are easy to beat, the weaker riders will get caught as they need more doping.I bet the culture is still there Lance didnt create it.

One day people will realize that it makes no sense to strip Armstrong from his 7 tour victories.I mean in that time everybody was on epo.He was not the first who won the tour on epo or something else.How long will you go back?You can clean up the whole hounourlist of cycling that way...And why must they ride clean.Why this sudden need to be holier than the pope?Personally I don't care riders are clean or not...

Biggest ears ever:-) :-) , both quite bitter and reading into lances body language whilst allowing their hatred to bubble over. I am distraught at what Armstrong has done to the sport but David Walsh is milking it for all he is worth. Apart from her huge ears I do feel for Emma she deserved better but she needs to calm down a bit..she has won

Lance feels no remorse because he was simply playing the game that all the other European dopers had long been playing. For reasons unclear Walsh decided to make an American cheater the subject of his writing instead the dozens of European cheats that were readily avaible. As far as bullying, those were all cheaters who only came clean after they too were caught and stood to make millions. They never would have told the truth for the sake of the truth. And Emma O'Reilly.... does she really need to be on a television show to tell her side? Couldn't have a letter to the newspapers sufficed?
Lance is a hero. The sport was doping to the gills and people targeted him because of envy. Where were all these people during most of the 1990s?
