My IS350 is shifting hard into 3rd gear but it only does it on hard acceleration.... any ideas what this could mean? it's usually worse when the trans is cold.
Could be a lot of things. Are there any codes in the computer? Just because the light is not on does not mean there are no codes. If you have access to a scanner I would clear codes even if it says there are none and then reset the adaptives and relearn the shifts and see if that does anything for it. Make sure your battery terminals are in good shape also. Would also check the state of your battery cold. Should be 12.6V no less than 12.0. Then check it while cranking the engine, should not drop below 10V. If it does your battery is no good. And don't let anyone tell you any different. Especially the ones selling you a battery. Won't name any names.
Lexus apparently says it's a "sealed" transmission and the fluid never needs changing. I have an ISF with 41K miles and while the transmission works fine, it doesn't quite sound like it did when the car was new. You can hear the mechanics of it a lot more now. Any recommendations on that?
I don't believe in the fill for life. I still believe in the every 25-30k changing of the fluid. Fluid is not cheap for this unit. Don't know what to tell you about the noise. May be low on fluid. There are reports that too little fluid can cause noise, too much and it overheats and causes damage.

How often them speed sensors go because I believe I send you remove one from the front pump 😢😢

Just started watching, but I’m hoping for some input as to why a 70,000 mile unit might slip in only 4th gear, when warmed up.
As with most transmissions nowadays they are prone to molded pistons shrinking and valve body bore wear. As well as solenoids wearing out.

This is the first one I had come in. Could not get parts for it, did not repair it.
Never see this gearbox to be done,by the way if I dismount like this gearbox I will never put everything back 😂😂😂
