The amount of love this anime is getting from Madhouse is unreal and it warms my heart. As a manga reader, they really went beyond expectations in terms of adapting this episode. The way this episode expanding the world by explaining how magic works while bringing on point fight sequences is really good. And that scene when Frieren broke the barrier, damnnnn!
This show brings me so much joy. Every aspect is spectacular - world building, character development, dialogue, the animation and soundtrack. One of (if not the) greatest anime I’ve watched yet. Definitely my pick for AOTY!
being first class mage is the pass to move freely in north continent. anyone without being first class mage or the company of first class mage will be stopped from traveling further north. Denken hometown is further up north. obviously he can hired first class mage but it wont be right to do so (his philosphy) just becauuse he want to go home

so now i'm really wondering how strong is Frieren really, as of now i can't picture anyone being stronger than her, Serie is probably the closest, but somehow i think Frieren even surpasses her now

Serie's stronger, and it's not even close lol. If Freiren needed a party to defeat the demon lord, then serie can 1v1 him.
