I always look forward to your RV reviews. They are not "salesman" reviews, but real world/ people reviews. Your tips on what to look out for are very helpful, details I would not pay attention to. Good job.
This video has been out for three months and someone has probably already posted this, but just in case… That "bidet" in the Travato K is actually a toilet rinser for cleaning it out. For obsessive people, IMHO. I find that you can get the bowl perfectly clean with just some wet paper towels. But it's cold water so you're not gonna want it on your bottom side. Our 2020.5 Travato G had one, as well. It only works when you step awkwardly on the flush pedal, so you're wasting a whole lotta water just to get the toilet bowl marginally cleaner. We tried using it for about a week and realized we had to stop and empty the black tank much sooner than we were anticipating, so we never used it again. I consider it a waste of money. But that's why we got rid of the G and got the Solis Pocket. There were so many things on the Travato that we never used. The generator. The TV, the TV, Wineguard antenna thingie on top, the cheesy, hard to figure out Jensen stereo. The TV and the stereo took up two entire spaces that could've been storage. And there were so little storage in the G and most of it was inaccessible by a short person like me. You would have less problem but I couldn't reach over the bed, and I couldn't crawl under the bed easily. Happier with the wee Pocket, although it's pretty small for two of us.
I think I agree on not needing a sink in a tiny bathroom when you have a kitchen sink to use. No one seems to cover the Ram Promaster itself, like safety features such as cameras, lane warning, phone charging pad, etc. And no, the Promaster vans are not the same as the trade vans, I got that information directly from a class B manufacturer.

Nice reviews. FYI for the Roadtrek Play SRTwith the sofa bed in back: The ottomans or side seats are pulled together in the middle. This gives you a large bed to sleep north/ south. This is true with any class b with reclining sofa bed
nicely done video you two. I will say, that 'walking' through these PM floorplans vicariously reinforces my love for the custom build my wife & i have in our PM 159RB. We have forgone the full-time bathroom idea with one that is all stored in a small closet with all necessary items. Our bed is east-west as we are comfy on a 50" x 75" latex/froli setup. Kitchen area has SS counter top(s) of 5' on driver side, + 2' on passenger, + a 30" removable table between the front swivels. The storage is waaaaay beyond anything seen in the rigs you walked us through! OK, i'm biased, but there can be so many pros for having a small-custom shop build one's own idea of what works in a van this size.
Fun and great video as always. Really appreciate your real world and candid comments on RVs. I was at that same “show” as well when I was in town for work. I went to see the Solis Pocket’s new floor plan with the bathroom and disappointed there weren’t any on display. Truth be told, it’s not really a show but LaMesa just trying to sell RVs. I wish there was an actual RV show nearby like a traditional auto show with ALL the manufacturers. Leaning toward Coachmen or Winnebago Keep up the great work - always look forward to your videos. And enjoy Bob gushing about the Sprinter vans - especially Storyteller. 😂
Honestly, Winnebago badly needs to step up their cabinet game. I have looked at them in person and they certainly are reasonably well-made, but it basically looks like laminated pressboard stuff. If they put cabinets like Coachmen puts in their Novas in the Travatos, it would make them a lot more attractive and seem a lot less dated.
Bob has a Story to Tell about his favorite van.... and... FYI a huge benefit of the upgraded Promaster chassis for 22+ wasn't mentioned- it has a new 9 speed transmission (upgraded from 6 speed in previous years)

Ok. I love the blue! I am SO GLAD someone finally put some color on these ugly colored vans. Every single one is grey, black or white if a personal build. Think outside the box! Why be boring? And wow, so many identical layouts, glad you had this video to show the inside.

Appreciate the walk throughs. Be similar floorplans for the Transit chassis I'd guess. Would never own a sprinter. A couple hundred dealers vs 10 thousand.
New Thor Tellaro nearly burned my entire house down. By the grace of God the spontaneous electrical fire started on my driveway and not in my garage at night or while we were gone. Thor is a brutally ruthless company

The van with The ugly blue color is a bad joke! Most of the vans are so similar, I think you have to go up in price to get a nice one that you can shower in without cracking you head or elbows.Thank for tour, I would enjoy going myself, but have mobility issues.
I really enjoy your channel and the visits to the RV shows. We’re still building out our DIY Sprinter van so I often get ideas for our van. We currently use our van to travel for work out of town 2 days a week.
It is disappointing to see the build quality from Thor. As the buy up many companies, I worry about the future of the quality of the brands. You both do a great review. Which B van do you find the widest width of the entry door? Many utilize the entryway for the galley, reducing the doorway. Asking because I would be accessing it via wheelchair. Would love your honest opinion. Thanks
This is a good showing of the Class B rvs on the Promaster. You should continue with videos on the Sprinter and Transit. You guys should consider a 59k floor plan on a Transit. The Transit is taller and longer. Maybe make a video comparison on the 59k and Sprinter and Transit.
Transit are so hard to find at these RV Shows. But we totally agree and would love to do a video on each. Great idea :) Also, we agree...if we were to do a 59K it would most likely be on a Transit. Way more room for us.
@@Vancaskeys I'm thinking you guys are interested in a 2 twin beds with rear bathroom. There are some with a front bathroom,rear twin bed. Maybe you can stop at some RV dealers and make a few videos of the Transit ones.

The slumber looks like the ladder should lean to the opposite side. and the overhead cabinets look like very low quality. I could see one of the corners of the door has a separation already. :(
The Tellaro is not our favorite...we own a tellaro. We love the Travato...would want it on the Transit...but we also absolutely love the Coachmen Nova. We cannot find one at a show in Arizona. It's so frustrating.
My daughter has the Tellaro 20 J ( J is for JUNK) 20,000 miles and it falling apart, leaks in the water tank has soaked the floor boards, the contact paper on the panels is all rolling off, problems with the Bar meter, cheap lock on the gray water compartment didn' make 20 miles from the dealers, the latest is a bearing noise from the alternator. Dodge dealer advised her that Thor altered the factory alt when they installed the larger alt. She then took it to an RV service center, they told her ,yes it does not sound good and will fail soon but right now it is still producing voltage so they cannot change it out. She is getting ready for a 1.400 mile trip to Florida and is not comfortable with this situation. The seal on the pop top stuck to the caulk on the van deck and now pulls the gasket off when you raise it up. She hurts her back trying to get her mountain bike up on the head cracker of a bike rack. I wish she would have gone for the Coachman Nova 20RB which came out a month after she bought this ten year mortgage!
Here in the US manufacturers are building the cheapest and most underwhelming RV’s l’ve seen; all about profit instead of quality. I am leaning towards having mine build privately from a van conversion company. They are building good quality and beautiful vans plus I need a fixed bed. Not playing Tetris in order to go to sleep and not sleeping on a twin bed, I think I was eight years old last time I slept on one of those.
I would like a van that can comfortably carry 4 on a roadtrip. The small passenger bench seats don’t look comfortable (my boys are 19 and 14, so not little). You don’t mention them, but it appears that some of the models with the twin beds have seatbelts on the side-facing benches. But with the movable cushions, I wonder how comfortable they might be for longer trips. Any thoughts? We aren’t necessarily looking to sleep 4, but it would be nice to be able to use the van for travel.
I will say in our Tellaro 20a we have two seats behind the driver seat and our boys (23 & 20) cannot fit comfortably. The bucket ones in the back that we saw with seatbelts would probably be the most comfortable.
Intech does that in their smaller travel trailers. They have very roomy wet baths partially because they don't bother putting in a sink. In something as small as a B, you really don't need a second sink or, alternatively, have a fold-down sink a la the rear bath models. I'm not sure why they only put folding sinks in rear baths and never in side baths. Plus, in those Roadtrek bathrooms I don't even see how you could stand up in them to shower as their is virtually no floor to ceiling gap at all between the sink and the toilet.
Yeah, the thought of watching someone brush their teeth, shave, wash their face, or washing their hands after taking a giant stinky "job", in the sink I prepare my food in, I think the one foot that the bathroom sink takes up, I'll just lose 10 pounds and not worry about the space.
@@CD-sz7tf That's fair, but when the difference in that sink being there is anyone taller than 5'6" being able to comfortably sit on the toilet or take a shower, its a fair trade-off to keep your sink clean. Also, don't "prepare" food in the sink. Even at home, I consider the actual surface of my own kitchen sink to be less than sanitary. I would *never* take food straight from the sink surface to a plate or bowl.

You say, "Were in a van. What do you expect?" I'd say for $134,000 I would expect a lot! Looking at it as if I built it? I could do a LOT better with that much money. To me, it looks like they have around $50,000 profit built into that van. :(
Enjoy your channel( more when you are actually out camping ) . But I do have to say it’s hard to watch when the camera is moving around so fast . It gives me motion sickness .
Thanks so much for this! I want this type of Class B, but the rear door with windows looks like a draft/insulation issue. Not sure why this is so common in rear bath models (or next to the beds 🥶). Another major issue is side facing seating when trying to replace a car with 5 belted forward facing seats. 🤔 Maybe an interior like the Solis Pocket with a pivot bath would solve both problems. How hard is it to make a Class B warm and dry (bath)? Instead of pop-tops it is possible to add a bed without risking leaks/heating issues with a basic pull-down like Wingamm models or this MTC build th-cam.com/video/GqebKXidH4Q/w-d-xo.html. Not sure where manufacturers are getting input on what buyers really want.

Winnebago has a class b van with wheelchair access named the roam.

You had said before that your favorite Promaster is the Coachmen Nova 20RB…now the Tellaro…so which is it?
The Tellaro is not our favorite...we own a tellaro. We love the Travato...would want it on the Transit...but we also absolutely love the Coachmen Nova. We cannot find one at a show in Arizona. It's so frustrating.

@@CD-sz7tf That's fair, but when the difference in that sink being there is anyone taller than 5'6" being able to comfortably sit on the toilet or take a shower, its a fair trade-off to keep your sink clean. Also, don't "prepare" food in the sink. Even at home, I consider the actual surface of my own kitchen sink to be less than sanitary. I would *never* take food straight from the sink surface to a plate or bowl.

except its a Thor. This couple call their Thor Mr Lemon, and I've had nothing but problems with my Thor Tellaro.
advice = Don't buy a Thor.

Thanks so much for this! I want this type of Class B, but the rear door with windows looks like a draft/insulation issue. Not sure why this is so common in rear bath models (or next to the beds 🥶). Another major issue is side facing seating when trying to replace a car with 5 belted forward facing seats. 🤔 Maybe an interior like the Solis Pocket with a pivot bath would solve both problems. How hard is it to make a Class B warm and dry (bath)? Instead of pop-tops it is possible to add a bed without risking leaks/heating issues with a basic pull-down like Wingamm models or this MTC build th-cam.com/video/GqebKXidH4Q/w-d-xo.html. Not sure where manufacturers are getting input on what buyers really want.

We can appreciate your feedback. The video originally was almost two hours...we actually spent a lot of time in each van...we try and keep our videos under 30 minutes. :)
