I desperately need help, I am trying to play PUBG. All it does while plugged in is move the camera. What do I need to do to use this thing?

I tried pubg on my phone with the controller, and had the same thing happen. I looked online and found that pubg mobile does not support controllers whatsoever. So while you are able to move the camera around in the game, none of the buttons can be mapped. So from my research, I don’t think that there is a way to play pubg mobile with a controller.
