You are absolutely correct with later pricing, I have learned over the years about putting off buying albums for a time and circling back to purchase only to find prices double and triple in cost if your lucky enough to even find a copy at all! The series is absolutely brilliant in every detail and I planning on picking up each one if possible only because I enjoy the live sound as the same song can sound so different from year to year and venue to venue by different band lineups! I’m always a sucker for these live albums with the original band playing their hearts out. The first two live albums of theirs kinda set the standards for the rest to follow and this one is no exception! Great overview, Jeff! I went with the black vinyl on this one, too (10 year-old me would have laughed at the purple). This concert is right in the pocket of my favorite era and line-up. My only gripe with these Soundboard releases is the lack of extras. I get the "plain wrapper" concept but HOW cool would it be to get a line-up/era appropriate poster in each of these? Or stickers?... or whatever. I think sales would be much higher (not that they're low... I don't know).

Yea I get the colored vinyl as a collectable but if your going to do a bootleg replica it has to be done right and that is black vinyl! I was thinking about the same thing only I was thinking a handout poster with each purchase of the album and band lineups to keep with the album and put in if you chose…I guess great minds think alike LoL! "You wanted the best and you got the best". Good evening Jeff. As you know I am a huge fan of these live shows that Kiss are releasing. I am also an advocate for any band releasing live shows for the fans. Especially an assortment from all different tours. I did find out why there has been no Mighty Blimp live albums released. Page is all for it. But apparently the other two members have to agree on it. If they have no interest in doing anything for their fans it cannot be done. So I cannot blame Jimmy for this one. I have to blame Robert and Jonesy. I remember you mentioning something about the packaging of these albums. Did you say that you were a fan of the 'Off The Soundboard' packaging? I absolutely dig the sparse/plain look. The paper bag colored cardboard, the logo and the writing only. Superb. >< I am very happy for you. You are hearing these shows for the first time am I right? Have any of these shows ended up on bootlegs over the years? I am sure that one or two of them have been booted by some of the premier Japanese or American bootleg labels. Or maybe not. It is great seeing them being released for all of the Kiss fans globally. Any word on any Boston shows being released? Thanks for sharing this new one from Des Moines Jeff. Hey there Rob good evening to you! I’m also enjoying these releases quite a bit especially the last two with my favorite lineup! I like the fact that they are bouncing around from different decades so that everyone can get a little taste of what they have to offer to the younger fans that are getting into their music and want to own some physical media. That’s too bad about Zeppelin not jumping on the wagon and releasing some of their past concerts, although you have probably been to everyone multiple times throughout their career. 😉 I absolutely am a fan of this packaging as nothing else would seem right for a bootleg album and holding true to the name and past history in every sense of the word. The typewriter print is actually a fantastic idea and the Devil is in the detail and they missed nothing including the smudges on the center rings of the album. You are correct I am enjoying these concerts for the first time so a chance like this doesn’t come along every day so seize the opportunity when it presents itself. Honestly I have no idea if any of these concerts have ever actually been bootlegged in the past but would be pretty darn cool to have a copy of an unauthorized version as well as a authorized version just for comparison value alone. Unfortunately I have no idea of any upcoming releases it’s all hush hush until the announcement of another album being released but nothing up until that point that I know of but hopefully fingers crossed Boston will definitely be on the list at some point! No worries about staying in touch as I am equally as guilty as we both blessed with plenty of work and winters are made for exactly that, staying in catching up with good friends and spinning good music which we will do soon enough my friend so work and enjoy what is left of this endless summer !!!
