Why this is still the best Worlds ever - wildcard team upset on the 1st day - first time a wildcard team (and beat a korean team) to reach the quarterfinals - FW = Korean Killers - Peanut - "This is TSM's big shot" - action packed and down to the wire SKT vs ROX semifinal (that Ashe arrow, that MF support and that Bengi comeback) - an extremely surprisingly even grand final with silver scrapes (with SSG coming back from 0-2 to tie the series) - SKT emerges as the ultimate best team in the world
SKT VS ROX, even though it's only a semi-final, is the most intense out of all games that I've watched till the present. Those games in that time, make me staple my love for LoL till now, even though I don't play the game anymore.
I really believe it is the greatest series ever played. Two reverse back to back wins first from ROX and then from SKT. Games were full of clutch plays from both teams and from pretty much every player. So intense and so close.
Skt vs Rox was the real finals let be real. That has got to be the best BO5 I've ever seen in the history of League of legends. The mechanical plays were just Insane from both teams.
I know a lot of people, even friends who just really were disappointed that SKT won. However, watching both semifinals and finals with them, there never was a closed mouth when SKT took their lead. SKT, despite winning probably too much, they have proven themselves among all the teams in the world that they are the best. I'm a huge fan of SKT, love them to death and even I can confess that it would have been nice to have a new face win, but you can't deny the fact that SKT have EARNED their wins.
SSG vs SKT was not only the best series thus far, they were THE ONLY team to ever make SKT go to game 5 in a worlds final. GG AND WP TO BOTH TEAMS!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
yeah and especially when you're loosing 2-0 against skt and getting completely destroyed early in the 3rd game, some of the teams would've just gave up and play tilted making stupid moves but ssg kept playing like if it was just the first game
Probablly the best worlds I have ever seen, every team played to their best(even the wild cards, which was very impressive), and it wasn't even 1 sided. Hopefully next season, everyone gets better and make season 7 better. GG WP @ every team from every region.
The only thing I'd change is the lack of real champion diversity. You see the same champions over and over again apart from the few strange picks like kindred and Zac at the finals.
I remember watching skt crush royal three years ago at the exact spot. It's all like a dream. Just unbelievable to me that a team have won 3 championship titles out of 6. Gotta love SKT.

Coming back after a sad night SKT lost in the semi-finals yesterday 😭. It's been 3 years since SKT last won the world championship. I really hope SKT can win the world championship once more before Faker retires. Hope they can come back and win next year

If I had to guess, the 2020 world champion (if there is one) is going to be one of the LPL teams, maybe JDG or TES (?)
Best worlds in my opinion. Level of competition we saw was the best League as ever offered. The most insane upsets happened all the while the best still reigned supreme.

This is the best worlds for me. Lots of highlights and also unforgettable moments like pray's ashe arrow to stop duke from recalling and bengi first pick nidalee even their enemy is in match point. I got a goosebumps everytime i remember those moments.

v Bocaj in this season SKT lost only once, to KT roaster in summer Semis LCK. But in whole their history they lost only 4 times. As I said above to KT roaster, in 2014 they lost to SSW 1-3 and to Najin in gauntlet but I don't remember what was the score and at MSI 2015 2-3 to EDG. 4 seasons and only 4 loses in bo5. Looks pretty impressive, right?)
This worlds seems like the best worlds. The tour of na, the production level, the matchups were very hyped. Amazing semi finals and finals. Sadly do not think riot will ever top this peak they reached in 2016.
Yup, you are right. I believe another big factor to this worlds was that the crowd was more lively and into the action. I didn't see or feel that when worlds headed to China and I most certainly dont feel that vibe right now. We'll see where it goes from here.
They won 2017 Spring and Msi pretty easily but 2017 summer they had huge issues in top and jungle then when they got to worlds Bang did everything he could to lose
