Wow, they really set him up for failure with playing all of his animations so fast, but Nathan, being a pro, just rolled with it.

Be loud, obnoxious, pushy, and selfish and you'll fit right in.

Pretty much the same as London. People who insist on walking side-by-side is the most infuriating. I became very well acquainted with side streets to avoid tourists who of course walk around at a snail's pace so they can take in all the sights.

New Yorkers are great compared to Chinese in China. That said, I try to stay out of downtown NY when I'm there.

People need to be debriefed about New York City before coming. NYC is a hell. It is so hard to get things done, and get problems that arise, completed and squared away . It is very expensive. It is unfriendly. There is division among racial and ethnic groups like you wouldn't believe. It is a place you aspire AWAY from. If you MUST, visit 2 or 3 days, then leave.

Freakin' A, A. To really be a New Yorker ya gotta grow up there. Met my wife in 79' at a job in midtown. She "learned" to be a local in the nine years living there (with my guidance). Brooklyn was a swell place in the 1950's thru 80's. That's when we left. Was getting too damn GENTRIFIED and is much worse now. Wife lived in the Heights and I was in Bay Ridge. The 1970's was the best time for me in NYC. Shit, I even ran in the freakin' Marathon in 1978.

No shit Chad, these "newbies" can give advice that might get you hurt or killed. I moved from NYC in 89' but was born there in 1950, grew up in Bush Terminal, Brooklyn and lived there and Bay Ridge almost 40 years. Ya want advice??? Ask a real New Yorker not some putz. Fuhgeddaboudit!

The best of everything is here in NYC although it may seem friendly and too expensive to many, especially newcomers. My main complaint (besides the small apartments) is that the men on public transportation never give their seats up to pregnant or elderly ladies.
