I love the "The Message from Industry to You" and "the American Way" segments narrated by John Cameron Swayze and in some cases possibly Ronald Reagan in these presentations. These are "golden."
Great video about Sugar Cane My Dad grew up on a Sugar Cane Farm in Southern Louisiana, I remember going with my cousins and cutting a piece of Sugar Cane and we would cut it up and each had a piece, the Sugar Cane pieces were incredible candy. I also grew up on Steen's Cane Syrup made from Sugar Cane in Southern Louisiana. I still keep Cane Syrup in my pantry, prefer over Maple Syrup.
Jack Shaindlin's "Mild Activity" is in the background starting at 8:11 while "Traffic Cruise" is heard at 12:17 . These seem to have been fairly popular cues from the Langlois Filmusic library on this show.
Spinning metal is so fascinating to watch.
I would love to see all of them. I wish we had a show like this today.
I agree 100 percent! These people are preserving history on film, so to speak! Thank you PeriscopeFilm, you are appreciated very much!

1950 Something: We LOVE office cubicles. 2000 Something: We HATE office cubicles.

Episode 200 answers such questions as "How did the custom of awarding trophies originate?" and "What's the purpose of this unique land yacht?"
Someday I'd like to have one of those futuristic "motor homes", instead of camping on the ground or sleeping in my car.
Remote learning- no idea it was that old
Back in the day, they made stuff to last. Now they make crap...
