Man I can only imagine how this was in its prime, such a good looking game almost 10 years later.
In BF3's prime, the closest thing to it was BF2. The sad thing is most the only real active servers now are BF3 vanilla. The BF3 DLCs had some real banger maps.
It was so good even COD players were praising BF3.

@@mimmil8162 - there's some good things and good DLC maps in BF4 but that game brought way too many shallow weapons and gadgets. Ucavs, Suavs, Active Radar etc. But hey, at least it didn't have very easy sniping like in BF1. So yeah.

I actually don't own BF3, but I play it every time I visit my cousins/ aunt and uncle.
And its not the same unless Jack brings over his laptop and we squad up with me using my uncles computer.

after over 4k hours in bf3, multiple accounts etc Turns out I really like playing defence on rush(never expected this), because with attacking, you have to have your team on board with your strat and pick your opportunities or you'll just keep dying if you don't play with your team's wave-like movements on the map. With defence I love how you can just chill behind your frontline and nuke every single dude that tried flanking from behind enemy lines(your lines of defence). Just hilarious the amount of rage they'll get when they try to put a vendetta against you cause you outsmart em at every turn. It's way more fun trying to look out for best camping spots to out-play aggressive players from behind your team's main defence etc. Defense is way more like chess than the boredom of supporting your teammates in attacking when they're likely shit tier to begin with lmao

Its not that I just miss this game, it was the hype, the excitement of the player base, the trolololing, the expensions road map, the regulars you played with, all of that combined make this, by leaps and bounds, the best online shooter experience I've ever had, and probably will ever have.

Since I'm on console I decided to take out the old PS3 and get a taste of BF3 since my first Battlefield game was BF4. I know I'm not getting the full experience on console but damn playing rush was so damn fun. For being a game almost a decade old it holds up well today

Not necessarily, you can use that thing to tag enemy vehicles for aircraft. Plus, sometimes one sniper can have 2 or 3 guys trying to kill him

Coming back for round 2, though I don't know if there are ppl still playing or not but damn I miss this game, was wrongfully banned back on ps3 because that bug or cheaters were abusing cause I managed to get a 187 kills in a game before the server got merged after it got merged ppl flooded to que got up to like 300 an the last second kicked, but I was still allowed on public servers so wasn't the anti cheat a year later found out their was a false ban going around, hopefully it's been fixed before I fully return

BF3 is a great game. Unfortunately EA doesn’t allow me to play it because of Origin bug with DLC...
I slightly prefer BF4 because of the suppression which isn’t such tough to deal with like in BF3. By the way, these long range snipers are magicians for me.

Been trying to play this game again on PS3 but it's a bit of wasteland on there. You can still play obviously but it depends on the type of gamemode and time of day since you can't play a specific game mode without loading into an empty server but there's usually at least one active server if you set it to "any" which is honestly kind of surprising to me. I figured the PC version of the game would have the most active player base but if you can get it to work on PS3 you'll have a good time

I remember taking boats to certain areas of the map throwing something down on it to weigh it down enough with enough effort it would eventually push you under the map that was the funniest shit ever that and taking the torch and burning shit onto the walls
Probably my 4th favourite Battlefield,but my biggest concern is the annoying gun sways and the camera shake while you fall down.
