I'm a 37-year-old man and I'm jealous of this treehouse, haha. I can't wait for the rest!
I’m a 12 yr old girl and I’m VERY jealous 😭
@@Wompwomp749I’m 10, a kid, and I am so freaking jealous!!!
I'm also 37 and I agree with both statements
Im a 45 year old Australian man. I would love this.
Parents building something for your children must be one of the best feelings of accomplishment for their pure enjoyment. For years if you listen carefully you will hear the words "My mom made this" spoken.
This is SO cool. You are doing such a great job 💪.
If it was my childhood Dream, there would be a hanging bridge, a rope to swing in, an aerial runway and a rope with a bucket on one end, to transfer stuff to the highest platform.
Regardless of your plans, this is already absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to see the finished result☺️
Oo I love the bucket and rope idea!
Excellent job integrating it into the tree - I need to do something similar as my kids have been mithering me for a zip wire - scaling the tree to get to it will be as precarious as the line itself otherwise 😆
Everyone should build a tree house once in their life. Mine was 60 years ago and it was a tri-level similar to this. Never forget that experience. You're the coolest Mom ever...
A zip line might be fun.
I once stayed in an AirBnB that was a treehouse.
This is gonna be so awesome, I’m putting this on my Must Do list.
Keep up the good work, you are doing great.
Tarzan rope swing, gotta have.
I've said it before Melissa, your ambition is inspiring!
Your design for that tree house is a good one. An old fashioned tire swing would be nice if you have the branch for it. Looking forward to seeing the finished project!
I might add a rope swing and possibly a rope ladder or bridge. Having a tree done one before, I would go back and slot every lag that goes into the tree and put a washer at the head. My tree grew and racked things a bit. Great job. Epic build for an epic woman. 😁
Very impressive.
You have moved into a carpenter title. I've been watching your channel for over 5yrs and enjoyed the progress and skills gained. God bless 🙏.
Make the top platform into a crow's nest (like on a sailing ship) with a spyglass. Flags/banners on it would look awesome. I also agree with others on the fireman pole, monkey bars, knotted rope, hammock chair, and some sort of swing.
Played in a great treehouse as a kid; there was a cool periscope made out of PVC pipe that we loved.
What an amazing build. I can't wait to see the final results 💪👏😍
The design, the engineering, the workmanship are all amazing. I can't wait for the for the finish tree house and first ride down the slide. DIY Princess.
i would add:
A toy box under 1st floor for their out door toys
A rope swing- or a tyre swing
A roof but no walls so your kids can play when there is sun and rain!
i would lobe for any of these features and right now i wish i was your kid😂
That is soooo AWESOME!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love , we’ll done on your hard work !
We had a treehouse as kids , and it gave me and my siblings many happy times and memories.
I would add a den , fairly lights and some bird feeders
My dad and I built one when I was little
Swing, pole, monkey bars, knotted rope, and a rope ladder and slide
You definitely need to add one of those shakey type bridges leading to a platform with a firepole and a swing and definitely do the monkey bars.
Awesome so far, Mel!
As a kid, I had a seated rope swing (a 2 by 8 rectangle with a knot tied through the middle) along with a zip line off the highest platform (a rope with a pvc pipe over it (don't do this lol)) Both of those would look awesome! I would have also wanted some kind of fire pole to quickly get to the ground and obviously, a net to lay on!!
You do a great job of showing all the steps to help someone recreate this in their own backyard and we can't wait to see the finished product of this EPIC Treehouse Build!!
When I built a play house for my son, I added a trap door in the deck (same construction as yours) and a retractable ladder that uses ropes and pulleys to raise and lower it. We also built a swing-out jib crane with a hand crank to which we connected a length of rope with a hook on the end to lift items from the ground to the deck. This was built of scrap lumber, scrap pipe fittings for the crank, and a pulley at the end to guide the rope. Many hours of fun were had!
oh my gosh, that sounds hard to build! Lol! Way to go
Great job Melissa 👍👍inspiration too
Thank U for sharing 🙏
That's a nice tree house; Hours of imaginary playtime for years to come. I would have loved a TH like this as a kid.
You could make one of the platforms like a pirate ship or Swiss Family Robinson, have them watch the movie for play ideas.
Nicely done!
OUTSTANDING : o .... Very creative : ) .....
Nice job!
Well done Melissa, your kids must be so excited. Great video
Nicely done! I have great memories of playing in our tree house as a kid.
That's awesome not only for the kids, it's going to be an great place to just chill with a cup of coffee or tea!
Beautiful
Awesome tree house and the video was very informative. Well done Melissa.
So cool!
Wow Melissa that looks great good job like always.
great job mel! well planned out and done! good idea for the monkey bars and climbing wall. congrats. i would just add an old tyre with a rope, for the swing.
Can’t wait to see the rest!!!!
That's wonderful ! What a dream
This is awesome!!! I’m in the middle of planning something similar to this for my daughter and needed this inspiration. Looking forward to see how it finishes!
great job
That looks fun. I always liked climbing nets instead of using the stairs to ascend play structures. A covered platform among the leaves would be fun as well.
Nice! Thank you.
great job the kids will love it, I watched it a couple of time as I kept getting distracted for some reason LOL but you are doing a great job.
Absolutely, I've followed the journey on Instagram and everyday has been so cool to see the progress..
You so talented, such a gifted girl, congratulations ❤❤
This is so cool ❤
Great tree house.
This is wonderful. I think that some sort of swing, knotted rope or zip wire would be awesome - the zip wire would be so much fun 😂😂👍👍 thank you for taking the time to film and upload this 🙏🙏
Lovely
Epic love it ❤
That is really cool. I wish I had one of those when I was a kid as far as a suggestion on what else you can put on the treehouse I think a climbing rope or a firefighters pole to slide down at a height that’s not too scary lol.
Melissa you're an awesome mom!!
this is so epic!!!! so glad I found your channel!
Definitely needs a swing of some sort, and a bit of an enclosed area to hide from the parents and play games 😊
A swing would be great 😃😃😃😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are awesome!
Wow! You rely di a amazing job the kids are going to loveit very nice done!😍👵🏻
A beautiful tree like that with a tree house needs a tire swing somewhere. Looks great so far.
New sub from me! Glad to be here! Can't wait to binge watch
U should add a swing gurl with those fake vines for decoration it's would be so cool
I would add a big enough platform for a balcony with a pulley system to haul stuff up, like a lunch basket
I would plant some climbing ivy at the bottom of the poles so it would eventually camouflage the tree house. Good job, looking forward to the completion.
What a cool idea!
Welcome to the Woods in the Woods 😁. I was hoping for a log cabin, but will do 😎
Swings or a hammock would look great!
What an awesome project. I didn't see it when you 1st started talking about it but as the video went along and your narrative it all started coming together. How cool would it have been to have had something like that in my back yard but where grew up we didn't have alot trees out in the badlands of west Texas, lol anyway great job girl sure those kids and and friends will enjoy and the shorts are 2 thumbs 👍🏻 most respectfully.
Wow how i wish i can do also of what you are doing amazing
Take care always maam melissa your such a fabulous mom to your kids❤️❤️👍😊
I would add a Climbing wall and a swing
You're like the coolest mom ever.
A swing!!! You should definitely do one if you can
What I added for my kids when the where young, was a lifting beam with a pulley on it and a rope with a wooden hook at the end. then they could use a bucket or something to lift stuff up. i.e. food and plate to eat in the treehouse
Coolest mom ever!!❤
As impressive as always, but even more so considering your original vision and design. It is crying out for a rope swing.
Very nice! One tip- you may want to use washers on those lag bolts. As the wood swells they may sort of sink into it making it harder to get a bite on them when you take it apart in the future.
Yes. Big fat washers always.
I did not think of that, thanks! I’ll add some I think so long as I can back the lag screws out
I'm a 40 year old man and I want to play in that tree. 😂
When I was a kid (LONG time ago) I would have wanted a TV but I was kinda weird! Your build is perfect. Maybe add a swing.
this would have been so fun when i was a kid. It would probably make me go outside more lol
Add a hammock in the tree
Watched the Lakehouse renovation earlier, noticed that you had a screened-in porch on your current home (white house). Do you have a video for installing the screen? You're a total badass, thank you for the inspiration!
Awesome job!!! Maybe add a zip line from the top platform?
Epic
A tire swing would be nice too add
Next time use a Sureform pocket Planner.
Round the edges of your deck planks and handrails.
Nothing more satisfying as shaping the rough cut board ends.
Looks better too.
Wow ! Definitely put a cord ladder 👍😎🐕🦺🐈⬛
I am sure the kids will love it. You can probably go up there to read a book as well.
Great build as always. Only concern is that you should have at least 2-3” of clearance between tree and platform. Trees will continually grow over the years making the platforms move out of shape. But I’m sure you kids would outgrow it before that happens. Keep up the great work!
Add walls to be safe for the kids❤❤
I would say like a little fake cafe underneath the treehouse with a tiny drive through ( if u have small fake cars for your kids then use them )
You should add a swing!
As a child… I would have loved a hanging rope / macrame seat; being able to curl up and nap… read… sit and enjoy just being outside (but that’s just me who likes being outside, being calm and soaking in books)
Nice build! Maybe a rope ladder, swing or like the other comment...all us old kids loved the firemans pole!
You should add a hammock
Beautiful, tree house not bad either lol,naw great job,and definitely go with the monkey bars!!
Great video Melissa! I’m a new subscriber, and I’m building a channel myself. Thanks for the inspiration! I really think your treehouse could use a zip line, I always wanted one as a kid.
How about a fireman's pole to descend for lunch quicker! Or a knotted climbing rope? I suppose a flying fox across the garden isn't possible? That would be cool. 😊
This is amazing, small suggestion you should leave bigger spaces around the limbs as they grow it might push on the tree house.
You need a fireman's pole. Other yhan that you've got this!
Будиночок на дереві ,- це одна з мрій дитинства ,яка так і не здійснилась ,Меліса ти супер - мама!
How has the tree house held up with the tough block bases? Thinking of taking a similar approach.
Adding an area for a bed so they can camp out
Nice job... Are you going to install railings? Surely... :)
Yep!
You are such a loving mother and wife, you Melissa are one of a million.
