I swear Federer doesn't sweat. I play college tennis and I can practice with a pro hard for 2 hours but I'm drenched afterwards, Fed can play all day and still looks like he just started. These guys are in unbelievable shape
@Fernandez218 Are you talking about the guy hitting with Federer? Thats Simon Gruel a German player. I dont have any footage of him from his perspective, just from Fed's
Everyone to his own, I can't do two handed back hands at all, I prefer one handed but two handed backhands can be amazing shots because of the poer behind them :)
...and then have 130,000 people watch the entire thing online. Yes, folks, we've just sat through ten minutes of Roger Federer lackadaisically hitting a ball around in practice. Only Federer...
fed always seems to lose his practice matches to guys ranked way lower than him. There's another video, that's much more recent, of him playing a set against a young guy named flip krajinovich at indian wells. Federer barely wins any points in the set yet i'm sure that kid was sitting in feds box that night watching fed win his match on the way to the finals of the tournament
The two handed backhand requires less skill, but is usually more powerful and is more used (as everyone knows). I agree that the single handed backhand is more graceful, but I think you're pushing it a bit by saying that "only one handed backhands should be allowed" and that "two handers are really ugly".
i just love these training videos with the camera angle behind the player...can't stop watching them -.-
Almost 10 yrs have passed...still a pleasure to watch...Keep uploading..
federer hits a winner, woooooowwww!!!!clap,clap,clap.. when opponent hits winner, ...........

federer hits a winner. standing ovation.
the other guy hits a winner. silence.
It's because Fed has 20 slams behind him!
you uploaded this on my birthday! :D
nice video! thanks for updating
Hahaha, i was there too. Sitting on the other side. it was a great night, cause he surprised everyone by practicing
very nice video! thank you^^
federer makes tennis look soooo easy!!
@Fernandez218 Are you talking about the guy hitting with Federer? Thats Simon Gruel a German player. I dont have any footage of him from his perspective, just from Fed's
this guy knows how to hit winners.
@425zak no I'm pretty sure he's talking about that cameraman in the far right corner of the court in the blue shirt filming them
Federer's timing and presicion is ridiculous.
Those days you needed three people to hold a camera in order to take a good video . Image stabilisation wasn’t invented yet.
@425zak I think he's talking about the guy wearing a grey T-shirt and standing near Federer.
That is one insane slice 7:14!!!
@Illusorymoment because the other guys doesn't have 16 gs titles?
it just doesn't look like the same guy you see on tv ripping inside-out forehands and painting lines
it's amazing that he is not even serving that hard.
the ball just flies off his racquet.
Everyone to his own, I can't do two handed back hands at all, I prefer one handed but two handed backhands can be amazing shots because of the poer behind them :)
I was just a fan with a flip camera in the stands, I dont/would have no access to anything that guy shot. Sorry folks
Dear lord the slice at 7:14
If I could hit a slice even 1/20th as good as that...
:59 "yea federer"
@tossi4 What are you talking about?
who is the guy is playing with federer ?
I agree - he was probably not that happy with his shot; too little margin.
is the guy on the other side Sorderling? He's beating Federer o.O
3:37 nobody should look that cool when they fail
Who is the other guy?
...and then have 130,000 people watch the entire thing online. Yes, folks, we've just sat through ten minutes of Roger Federer lackadaisically hitting a ball around in practice. Only Federer...
I might not be as good as Federer, but nevertheless I am hitting the ball quite well.
It must be weird being so good at something that you can fill stands of people just watching you practice.
Who's the hitting partner?
there is a further glitch in the matrix at 3:38...
the name is Simon GREUL, not Gruel ;-)
how many balls were in his pocket? (see first 16 secs)
Expect nothing less from a Swiss.
my backhand 3:38 and i would like to challenge
He does everything so smoothly, that's whz he has so few injuries...
@federerbestclass who would have thought you would write that? Wait...are you a bot?

he doesnt try as hard and goes for super risky shots. probably want to experiment
yeah you're right i think
a lot.
lol 1:19 fed trys to teabag the ball
jajaja is like a Rabitt in a Hat
that looked like a mishit lol. I don't think Fed meant to hit it that low
@federerpremiumclass its a chick not a dude

why dont the crowd clap the other guys winners? Feel sorry for anyone who has a couple of practice matches with Fed, they never get any appreciation
Because they like Fed more
People that clap at a practice match are ridiculous.
Shut up
Il se la pète un peu quand même.
@CeruleanTwist Your "presicion" is ridiculous as well.
federer makes tennis look soooo easy!!
Who is the other guy?
