Fall into the ball? You want to explode up into the ball on the serve. His motion is more compact and in general he plays less graceful than Federer. But who doesn't?
weaverpsu Using body weight to "fall" into the trajectory of the service adds up to the pace without needing a huge arm for it. It's more efficient than most players on the ATP. Take a guy like Nadal and give him Federer's body. He wouldn't even be in the top 500. The day Federer retires is the day I stop watching tennis
getoffmypage Okay, well I never heard of falling into the serve. Legs, shoulder turn, and acceleration lead to an efficient powerful serve. I thought I would stop watching tennis when Agassi retired. Then I moved on. Haas, Wawrinka, and Federer are my favorites now.
We kind of tried out both service motions at a local academy and surprisingly, Wawrinka's motion was just as effective. Federer, with his platform stance, explodes up into it pretty well, but Wawrinka's arm acceleration and pronation is stronger. Both great serves, but Federer's is better for a junior to mimic.
How could you cut the double-handed backhand at the beginning. You sir, have no heart :(
you're so right :D :D
I was thinking the same. It caught me by surprise and even rewound to make sure I saw what I thought it to be.
He deserves a dislike just for that
stan's backhand is insane
Just watching two of my favourite players from ground level view. What could I want more.
Love these practice match
Hope to see Fed next year.

Wawrinka, best backhand ever.
at mark 6:30 when Stan says "there it is" what exactly do u think he was referring to? he seemed to be precise in his meaning.
I think it was about his technique..
+Ciaran Lynch that's a guy in the crowd saying that
Look at the difference between the racket head speed of old fed and current fed.
Roger’s forehand acceleration is unbeatable
The top spin looks isaneeee
from ground level
1:42 he didn’t let the ball bounce out, rogers point!
Hi
I would pay to see thoese two train.
I mean you kind of have to pay anyway
Good afternoon Mrs. Federer

At 0:16 RF hit two handed bechend!!! LoL
Wawrinka has such a stiff service motion and barely uses his abdomen to "fall" into the ball. Federer his body weight much better, more flexible

How could you measure/ quantify whether service A is more effective/faster than service B? I believe that is 100% impossible
