You are adorable. I love the real life-ness of the setting. Trying to think how to cure our purple majesty sweet potatoes in Michigan in October…maybe cover with the heating pad for the massage table on low heat high up in the bathroom?😂

Yah, all you need is heat and humidity! Maybe put them in plastic bags with some holes and punch holes in them and put them near your massage table or even a furnace (just don't burn your house down:). Your house will be perfect for long storage:). I have the opposite problem here in Florida. No issues curing, but as you know we don't have basements down here and it is hot most of the year! Happy gardening!

There is no going back once you’ve had purple inside and out sweet potatoes!!! We’ve made ice cream with them before - call it Taro to fancify it.😉

gees those were big bags I also expected more yield. I have 10 gallon growing regular potatoes and feel they aren't big enough but the cost of good soil is outrageous..potatoes looked so good. I have a chance to get some lilac sweet potatoes but I'm hesitant to get small yield the plants cost $17. I also have my man doing the heavy lifting 😂. I'm feeding bone meal and Langbeinite to increase yield..

It is crazy. This year the slips were SO expensive. Soil is also so expensive. I try to stay positive, but yes, I was definitely bummed at the yield I got. The slips started off looking rough though, so I guess I am lucky I got anything! Thank you for your comment.

I bought some ube from an Etsy store, but when they came they said Japanese purple yam; however, they look like yours, at least on the outside. It's very confusing, as there are purple sweet potatoes (which are sweet) and purple yams (which aren't sweet) and then there is a whole lot of confusion with names and terms interchanged willy nilly. Where did you get yours?

I typically get my slips from Park Seed. However, last year I got my all purple yams from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. Hopefully that helps! Happy gardening:)

I’m scared to dig mine up! Something kept eating my leaves and I’m pretty sure I won’t have much root!😢

To be honest, my purple yams started off pretty rough. The slips didn't look to good and several of them died. I ended up getting some good yams though! I say go for it!
