Thank you Matt and Helen, we have just started with them, we will have to give them some more tests but so far they seem pretty good, looking forward to using them more 😊 thank you so much for commenting! ✨️
Do you mean do the mics work or the cold shoe? The mics probably won't as you need the 3.5mm trs input for the mic and don't thing the mk2 has one of them? You could use the mics as a stand alone but take the recordings off the mics but you wpuld have to match the audio to your footage. Hope this helps 😀
Great review. Really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you could give me the name of the cold shoe extension you have the transmitter sitting on in the thumbnail. It looks as though you were able to find a piece that dropped the transmitter down low enough to also be able to plug in the microphone.
Thanks for checking out the video! The piece I used came with the Canon G7x Mk 3, so I'm not sure if you can buy that piece separately, sorry I can be anymore help then that 😊
Hello from France ! Thanks so much for your vidéo ! That s what i am really looking for ! I want to buy the Dji Mic2 for my G7x MK3 and had a look on the neewer bracket ! But could you please explain me / tell me what kind of additional piece you put to make sure the TX hold perfectly in the neewer cold shoe ? Thanks for your help 😊 (sorry for my bad english)
Thank you for the comment and watching. All we ended up using was a small piece of felt that had a sticky pad on one side to make it tighter. We have been having some issues with the DJI Mic 2 when it's plugged into the Canon G7X Mk3, there now seems to be a buzzing sound / interference sound when listening to the footage back which is really annoying. We are going to try using the mics as a stand alone Mic and not have the receiver plugged in and see how we get on with that. So before you order them, I would look into other people that have had buzzing in background noise or interference noise before committing to the purchase. It might just be our mics or the camera that has the issues, fingers crossed there is an update that sorts this. At first they were perfect but seem to be finding a few issues now. Also other vloggers are starting to find this interference noise on theirs too so check out DJI Mic 2 interference issues, we sent ours back to DJI and they still couldn't fix this issue we are finding with them. Thank you so much for commenting 😊
I'm thinking of getting a DJI mic as well but think it will be an issue with the receiver blocking the mic port, like you have mentioned in your video. Did you custom make that adapter yourself?
Thank you so much for your comment. With our Canon G7X Mk3, we got some other pieces with it so we were able to use them to be able to make it so you are able to get access to the mic input and have the receiver on the coldshoe. We have been having some issues with these mics which we will possibly do an update on as we have been getting interference signals on our footage. We are not sure if this is just an issue with the Canon G7X Mk3 or possibly an issue with the Mic 2 kit that we have, DJI are currently looking into this. If you search DJI Mic 2 interference noise / Buzzing noise on TH-cam, you will see some issues or examples of what we have had. Alot of TH-camrs are using the Mic 1 and don't seem to have the issue, so maybe worth checking if others are having issues. It's strange how for 2 or 3 videos they have been working fine but now we are having audio issues when plugging the receiver in. Hope this helps, like we say, this might just be an issue with our set up or the DJI Mic 2 that we currently have.
@AdandEmVlogs Did you get your mk3 in a special bundle because my mk3 didn't come with any extra parts to make an adapter out of. That's unfortunate that you're having issues with the DJI Mic 2. Hopefully DJI sorts it out. I probably would just wait for the Mic 1 to go on sale. Mic 2 bit too expensive for me atm!
I'm not sure if you get the other bits only with the kit we got, we purchased the vlogger premium kit so came with the Canon Tripod too with the clicker so might just come with that kit. We really hope it's something DJI can sort, they have already sent a new cable to go from the receiver to the camera which is to help this issue but still the same. We sent the kit back to them and they said it had a faulty cable and receiver so replaced them and the issue is still there so really not sure what's going on. Wish we had another mic 2 kit we could try or another g7x mk3 to try and start figuring out what is the issue. Tbh it looks like DJI have been having issues with this so possibly the mic 2 system. Hopefully there is a firmware update to sort this in the future 😊
@@AdandEmVlogs Ah that makes sense. I just got the camera by itself. Will have to source that adapter separately if I do buy a DJI mic. Thanks for your responses. Hope you get your mic 2 sorted!
No problem, glad we can help and hope to do an update video on the mics too so you will see the sound issues we have had. Dji customer services have been great but haven't fixed the issue 😕
Thank you so much for commenting, unfortunately the Canon G7X Mk2 does not have a 3.5mm jack for a mic so the DJI Mic 2 is not compatible with it, Sorry 😊
Deffo going to check these out. The sound is very good. The magnets from dji are amazing.
We are still testing them and have some opinions on them, some good and some that worried us but OK now I've sorted it 😂
Love the new intro! Need to look into cameras as always use my iPhone for vlogs! 📸
Thank you! It's worth trying one and seeing how you get on. Might be that you just prefer a phone, worth giving it a try one day 😊
Great review - think mic is something we are going to have to look into

Does this also work on the Canon Powershot G7 Mark II with an Adapter to USB C ? For the DJI Mic ? Thank you Video is awesome :=)

@@AdandEmVlogsyes i capture the mic audio with my phone. But do you know if i have any chance to connect them?
@@AdandEmVlogs but if i buy also the silver G7 Mark III it is possible with the DJI MIC 2 right?
Yes as long as its the g7x mk3 it will have the mic input it's just the mk2 and before that didnt
You can connect the receiver to your phone and use the mics or use the mics internal storage

Do you think this mic would plug into my Canon G7X Mark 2? I don’t seem to have the same outlet underneath my flash button that your Mark 3 does… hm
