This is the former Lackawanna RR line that went to their Keyser Valley Shop. The old shop is now a plastics company, that’s where the covered hoppers are going.
Very interesting lash-up. Those rails looked scary, though I suppose at those speeds they work well enough. OH, and check the filmed date. I thought this was from last year.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention! Yes, this was from last year, and I have updated that in the description. Oops! 😆 Yeah this lash-up was amazing, I've never seen a GP30 carbody or an SD38 before, or since! I wonder if that sketchy part of track has been fixed since 🤔 Like you said, the crews and trains seemed to manage just fine at slow speeds.
That's a nice horn on 2003. Great video
Thanks a lot!
Awesome vid as usual.
Thank you!
Awesome k5 on that SD
Nice coverage of this branch; looks like a few soft spots they should look at soon. GP30 my favorite Geep.
It was pretty cool to finally see a GP30 carbody and an SD38! Unfortunately I haven't seen either since.

Interesting, thanks for the info!

Gotta love a GP30!
Best lookin Geeps in my opinion!
PISB is a nice local job to catch. Only the track in the Keyser Valley is in very bad condition.
Yes, NEPA's worst railroad track if you ask me lmfao🤣🤣🤣
