Yeah the lakeside and Haverthwaite railway is good It's only a Short journey but nice. We were there about a month ago on a Sunday. Arrived at midday after a very slow journey from Windermere to Haverthwaite due to traffic. Got there car park was nearly full there was 3 coach tours in it was manic Then 10 minutes later platform was nearly empty as everyone was going on the train. Are you traveling to Windermere on the train and then getting the ferry over to lakeside on a combined travel ticket for the ferry and rail travel. Thanks for the nice comment. Malcolm and Sheila.
@@malcolmcharlton6954 Hope the weather was nice for you’s whilst you were there. It seems like a lovely day out if you do the ferry too. Sadly for me it’ll just be the train ride on the day and then I’ll have to head back towards Windermere. I’m getting the train to Windermere and then getting the bus from outside the station (according to Google maps). From what I’ve seen I should be able to do it and get back to Carlisle for the train back home on the night! Just hope the weather is nice on the day! It’ll be the 10th heritage line I’ve ticked off this year!
Hi Tony hope you're keeping safe and well. Sorry I haven't put any comments on lately but sometimes i just like to watch them. We still watch them when you put a video on. Are you just local for the rest of the year now clock's will be changing before long not nice for traveling. There's certainly a big drop in temperature over here in Cumbria since the weekend. Keep up the good work we look forward to seeing the next one. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington in Cumbria.
@@malcolmcharlton6954 Hi Malcolm! It’s good to hear from you! Was beginning to wonder how you were doing and if you were ok! I’m glad you are doing ok though! Glad you are still watching and enjoying the content! I won’t be going as far now the cold is starting to come in! I have got one trip over to Cumbria planned next month as I want to do Lakeside & Haverthwaite before it shuts for the year. Apart from that I’ll be staying local now. Nice to hear from you’s! Tony
