I don't know why I didn't watch this the whole way through the first time; this is epic! I tried planning a trip to come and see this one before it was withdrawn, but the plan fell through. At least there is a plethora of footage to watch instead! Thank you very much for uploading.
I do apologise if you didnt wish to be visible, i tried not to get you in frame. Thanks though! I enjoyed his driving, excellent driving from all of them in general though
@@LondonsTransport I don't mind at all, I was annoyed when that one got up and stood at the front blocking everyone elses views, quite a selfish action really given he knew everyone was filming from the rear.
it’s sad isn’t it these got replaced by fleet DOE in 2007-8 then made a re-appearance on the route in 2015-16. then they slowly got replaced by gemini 2 WVLS and slowly these PVLS got replaced on the route
It is operated by Arriva London but the 492 used to be operated by London Central from Bexleyheath Bus Garage from 1999 until 2004 using Leyland Titans until March 1999 when the route was Extended from Dartford to Bluewater Shoppjng Centre and at the same time the Leyland Titans were replaced by the single door Volvo Olympians and then in 2004 the route passed to Arriva Kent Thameside using Brand New Wright Geminis
These and Gemini 1s MADE my childhood. I always used to zoom to tooting on the 44 on one of these . Shame to se em go :/
Nooooo! How did I miss this! Great video! RIP PLAXTON PRESIDENTS!
Oh yes this was a fun trip

Worked at Plaxtons when this was built
I’m so glad this one is preserved.
The farewell even didn’t mean that the PVL was going but it was meant to stay a bit longer.
Great video. ☺️ I love these buses, they are one of my most favourite buses ever. ☺️ I'm gonna miss these buses.
Always used to get these on the 45
This is very sad for me. I grew up with these buses , presidents, Gemini 1’s , and early versions of the AD e400
Apparently this is being withdrawn later in the month, not tomorrow.
I think that's the other one, PVL296.
UK Transport232 Nah, it’s PVL284 that is, I’m not sure about the other PVL though
Greener London PVL296 is now withdrawn, which makes PVL284 the last president in South London.
S F-L yes, that’s what I said.
Sad times these were up there with my favourite euro 3 buses loved the pull off ZF sound
I see me, well my watch and size 14s. I also hear me and Kim. Great recording, Good driving by Daniel, he enjoyed that.

I got on the 36 PVL a few years ago like 2014 and 2013
Good thing I continuously see PVL296 whenever I go to Tooting
Sadly been withdrawn but PVL296 isn’t as good as this monstrosity
@@plasmauktransport1657 I know
CustomTransport277 earlier this year PVL296 has been withdrawn as the 270 has moved over to abellio London ran with E400 MMC’s
Pvl284 has actually stayed for a bit on 132
And coincidently this IS the last Go Ahead PVL now
My local bus 151 :(

Good news it's staying on
Taxed till end of May
@@richardc9416 can you check online to see whether a London bus is taxed?
Yes
Richard Cains It’s still on now though
@@richardc9416 staying until 2020 I think
huh?
492 is Arriva
Ik its for something idk but it still confuses me
It was a farewell tour going on routes which used to use PVLs, so 51, 229, 321, 492 etc
@@BusesinLondon345 wait 492 used to use DWs
51 still has them.
No it doesnt.
Tbf it did appear a couple times after it moved to Bexleyheath garage in June 2019
This routes go ahead lol I thought it was arriva.
It is arriva read the description it used to be 492 I think
It is arriva. This bus was just doing routes that previously were allocated PVLs when GAL ran them
Also were you able to use oysters or did you have to pay
Had to pay £5
Oof 😑
So it was on the 321 too?
yeah, it did the 321 after.
@@LondonsTransport I'm sure there were plenty of photos taken of all the routes today, it started on the 422 at BX Garage and finished on the 89 at BX
Oh 321 :(
Can we get an F in the chat?
F
I see me
you're the one in the wheelchair area?
Nah, I'm by the rear door. Was trying to find a filming spot that wouldn't get in everyone's way since the back was all taken lol
@@gloriouswater538 lol sorry about that.
Always used to get this on the 363.
