In order for no one to shit on them (and not them only but idols in general) they show a more vulnerable side. It contrasts with their strong/charismatic personas in music videos and when performing so it makes them relatable. Those are the basics of a Korean idol. Sometimes they do show their confidence however. I am sure they genuinely worry whether a song will do well or not because they worked so hard and sometimes that doesn't happen. It doesn't chart etc. Or it just doesn't do as well. So their worries are valid. Other times I am sure they might think oh shit this will do well. But they still try to humble down and be relatable. That is the core of it all
