Just wanted to explain some Korean culture stuff yall may not know. Acting cute is like a staple part of being an idol so they have to do it a lot. Also being touchy and affectionate is how you show a good relationship with friends in Korea so you'll see a lot of idols hugging, holding hands or other stuff we might think is weird in the USA. Finally, age is a big part of Korea as well. Even a single year apart in age will make members have different relationships between who's younger and older. The "hyungs" older members, and the "maknae" youngest are terms you will hear a lot.
here in latin america we are very touchy too,so it's weird to see that it's that much like that in the USA

i would say dream is probably who he’s most closest to. he basically grew up with them from when him (+dream) were super young and they always stuck together.
Mark likes both the units Dream and 127 , he is babied in 127 by the other members cus he is younger and I feel like he is more carefree in 127
In Dream , he is looked up to by the other members and he has more responsibilities in Dream but he has literally grown up with them since rookie days so I guess he enjoys his time more with them

Idk if u were being sarcastic or not so maybe I’m just thinking too much but how do YOU or any of us know if Mark hadn’t thought about his favorite unit that he’s in? Mark has been in sm since 2012 and a member of NCT since 2016. So I’m pretty sure he probably thought of it a couple of times or at least once.

Mark Lee's favorite group is hands-down NCT DREAM. He grew up with them and practically like raised them (kiddin'). But MARK has always been NCT DREAM's "Guide" even from trainee days, despite being in 2 active groups back then, NCT 127 and Super M, he still chose to go back to Dream, too, when the graduation system was abolished.
That's how much he loves the Dreamies.

Lucas and Mark are both of same age so technically both of them should be in Dream but Lucas was too tall to fit in Dream so SM did not let him debut .
I think it was mainly because his Korean wasn't very good at the time of debut rather than him being tall. But it would have looked funny had he joined them haha

@@kpoppergirl6235 Yes, but Chenle had amazing vocal talents already which made him debut as main vocal. Dream was also needing a vocal line since it was only Haechan and that's why they had repeatedly said that had Renjun & Chenle not joined their lineup, DREAM would not have debuted. Whereas the rap line had Mark, Jeno and Jaemin so another rapper (especially one who isn't fluent) wasn't needed

He probably said it as a joke on that vlive with Mark and fans just ran with it. There's no doubt he wanted to debut with Dream and yes, him and the other 99liners fit the age requirement for Dream.

I'm pretty sure Mark and Haechan feel home with both 127 and Dream. But no doubt they are more close to DREAM . They all same kinda age and Dream vibe is bit deferent, They don't use honorifics to address each other, they are more like pretty close friends with same goal . Also Mark is the leader of NCT Dream since debut thus his connection is deep.
In 127 they are the youngest members. Taeyoung and other elder members take more responsibility and are really caring. Mark might be more free and relaxed in 127.
eh both mark and haechan have said that dream has a very special place in their lives. they're definitely close to 127 but their bond as 7dream has always stood out among the nct brand (they have matching rings, a groupchat with a bunch of inside jokes, us they grew up together). mark was the biggest advocate for rejoining the group and haechan especially has been very vocal about dream being his BEST friends and how much he truly values the time he spends with them. its really apparent when you see them on vlives and variety shows, their humour and personalities click so well and their definitely the most energetic/fun unit out of nct (127 even says they feel scared of them sometimes lol all jokes ofc)
I would really recommend the video "nct dream not getting anything done because they talk too damn much". it really shows their unique dynamic. they just feel like a bunch of dudes that happen to have a camera on them which is really nice to see

These guides never really do justice for Jaemin. Maybe some separate videos about him get close to his personality and that's it. But then again, he's a complicated individual😅😓...

@@karol-ys5ow true, he has a lot of talents that are often being dismissed. Sometimes it feels like the people doing this guides don't really know some members well and therefore just portray them the way themselves perceive them:(.
@@kj5744 exactly,, it's really unfortunate. jaemin doesn't have a lot of opportunities to show what he can do but he does SO well with the little chances he gets. i hope maybe one day he'll start getting more recognition as well as other members who are portrayed a certain way - like winwin

I think members don't think about things the way we do. They probably don't pay much attention to the categorization, in any case it's all the same thing, doing the same work and calling it NCT X
I think it's obviously Dream, 'cuz they grew up with e/o, there are still a lot of videos of them at the age of 11, 12 in Mickey Mouse Club, they joined SM at a really young age, literally babies at that time, you guys can look for them to see how young they were

you can pronounce mark as they show it or in the american way, either way is fine because mark is an american name, that’s only how a korean person would pronounce it to make it easier to pronounce due to their accent

NCT Dream debuted in 2016 while Lucas joined NCT in 2018. Although he didn't debut in 2016 he trained with them and knowing he'll join NCT, he thought he would be put in DREAM because he and Mark are both 99. So, during his trainee days he really practiced a lot of Dream songs 😂 not until he debuted with NCT U and WayV hahaha. Imagine seeing a 6ft tall 99 baby dancing We Young with the Dreamies 😂

yes,Chenle is pronounced in Korean as 'cheon-leo' if you want to sound more Mandarin you can pronounce it as 'cheon-leurh', also Renjun is pronounce in Mandarin as 'loo-aen-joon'
