Thank you for the inspirational system to get things on the table! I'm starting my journey today with an orc army for #orctober. They've been kicking around my desk and in boxes for far too long. They're all 3D prints, but they're going to look so much better after I get them painted up.
This is awesome. Thanks for your method and hard work. I enjoyed your battle reports on the old systems. Have you ever heard of the game Kings of War? It allows you to use any miniature and has analogs for all the old Warhammer Armies. I thought it might be fun for you to look into bringing these models to a modern system. Cheers! and good work!
I have no words for the amount of unpainted minis I have, however I have committed to painting the equivalent to 4 or 5 armies a year, concentrating on clearing certain collections, e.g. underworld and marvel stuff both cleared. Currently wanting to finish high elves, epic eldar, napoleonics, warcry, kill team and some game of thrones... on target thus far. Hove enjoyed catching up with your projects and have managed to resist many new purchases due to the enormous backlog I have! Keep up the good work and cannot wait to see the dwarves.
I will be honest, I don't, I tend to factor them into the backlog so I will have say 3 old projects and 3 new(er) ones running together. For example I am painting or have painted my underworlds and warcry stuff, whilst painting high elves and epic eldar, whilst painting brand new ottomans and preparing Byzantines. I do paint quite quickly and paint to decompress from my job... I have time to do so which helps!
I very much enjoyed this video and seeing your wonderfully painted DoW army with that spectacular dragon center piece model. Good luck with the big hats as I love the designs and would like to try and paint a few in the future. Can you order them printed then? As I don’t and not interim getting a 3D printer. Cheers Mick
I ordered my first one printed. I think there are various resellers dotted all over the world. But be careful, I was so impressed by the one I bought "for fun" that I ended up with a full 3d printing set up and a 1,000 army.
@@hammerthebacklog well i actually kept track, and have painted almost 3500 minis in 5 years (i do 6mm, 10mm and 28/32mm models). Then life happened, and parents had some health issues+ i switched jobs, so it went on the backburner. So this means again more buying than painting :). Still chipping away at it though, currently on the last tac squad for my dark angels army, and then onto the next force!
I enjoyed your recent WF 5th edition videos and commented on them, to get you higher in the youtube augorhtymn.. so was hoping you would pick the Chaos Dwarf Tray!!!
A bit of trial and error. I painted a few models before I started, the dragon, a box of dwarfs etc. Trying to settle on a time:effort:result ratio I was happy with
They look amazing! right out the white dwarf in the good old days.
Just found your stuff. Love your work.
Nice… I’ve just got into the hobby.

That's quite the Backlog! How are you fighting the new purchases?

Great system!
I used to do the same, but i set myself a number of models, or units or specific scenario to work to. Worked a treat!
Thanks a lot Peter, sounds pretty similar. Why did you stop? Did you finally get everything finished?

Congratulations on a fantastic quarter 🎉 Seeing those baking trays is always a treat, looking forward to Y2Q2.
Thanks a lot for all the support! When I finish the Backlog I'll send you one of the trays as a souvenir

And I did!
yep count me in, I've accumulated a moderate pile and I want to them all done. How did you figure out how much you could get done in a quarter?

Well done once again!
Please speak more with the camera, i.e. look towards the viewer. You seem to talk a lot with your models.
I definitely spoke more to the model this episode than in the previous ones, I noticed that too
