Just sharing some stuff with you! My first ever delusion was that other people could hear my thoughts and my first psychotic episode was at age 17. I believe that the illness has a spiritual side to it also. I try and avoid conflict as much as possible as emotional upset and lack of sleep are my biggest triggers.
Like was there a particular thing that made you think they could read your thoughts? For me I thought I could read others thoughts and the reason why was because things I would hear would be the same things they’d end up talking about, or would say. Stuff like that.
One of my major delusions was that when I went outside the house, I was a cartoon character and my thoughts floated above my head in a balloon on a string coming out of my head where everyone could read them,.I believed that when I got close to anyone, I could understand their thoughts which came off them in waves and rays , eventually I wouldn't touch anyone and couldn't bear to be touched by anyone, this still comes and goes. And I believed the devil was talking to me, but people reading my thoughts is a big issue
I thought I could read others thoughts and that they found another mind reader that was telling them everything I was thinking. It’s definitely a scary thought to think that someone knows all of your deepest darkest thoughts.
