Totally wonderful. Ancient sailing vessel and old coaster. I've seen STURN years ago. Still going strong! :-)

That the old ship is leaving as sailing, is a nice end to the stay. I hope it will be a good ending though?

Glad I låget, over at frivillige har overskud til at få det historiske skib fra Fejø sat istand
, og på Rødbyhavn Bådeværft er det i gode hænder. Velkommen til Lolland.

One of my Dutch friends told me about the regulations for engines that is killing the possible refurbishment of craft such as this. Maybe someone who understands these new regulations could elaborate.

All vessels over 20 meters need a certificate of inspection. Until about 2 years ago it was possible to get such a certificate as long as there was no immediate danger. They stopped doing that, so any vessel that has never had a certificate of inspection has to adhere to newbuilt regulations like emmission standards and many others (like height of the railings, height of the ceilings etc etc) making it extremely costly or impossible to restore these kind of ships.

Try Google translate like this for the first part of the story.
Copy past is your friend if GT is not familiar to you.
"The historical galease Frem, which has lived a somewhat mixed life, is now a thing of the past in Næstved. Fram was built by boat builder Emanuel Mortensen on Fejø in 1934, it was Kaj Merkel from Femø who had ordered the ship to transport fruit from the islands in Smålandsfarvandet to the Port of Copenhagen. During World War II, the ship was an important part of the transport of Jews from occupied Denmark to freedom in Sweden, as a thank you for the great effort for the Jews, Motorfabrikken BUKH in Kalundborg later donated a new engine to Frem.
In 1952, Frem was sold to Julius Andersen from Holbæk, and served for many years as a cargo ship, stone fisherman and dredger. Around 1970, Holbæk Municipality took over the ship, but three years later it was transferred free of charge to Holbæk Sailing Club, where it was re-rigged with cabin and berths, the galley was now converted into a recreational vessel and referee ship during the club's sailings. Later, the sea scouts also enjoyed the ship, but due to changing owners and poor maintenance, the ship began to take in water, and then ended up at the bottom of Suså Harbor in Næstved.

well, I can help you there, it about an old boat whose engine is taken out and it's craned into the Coaster called SATURN and then taken away. I hope that helps :)

That was a tight squeeze, obviously the Old Lady has some historical value, what a shame she was allowed to deteriorate so badly, but she will be restored now and be put into a museum hopefully. 😁
