Solid tutorial for getting into HoRope! Can you provide some detail on the C4D material applied at :04 to :10 in the video, to make that nice looking rope texture?
Hi Mike! I always use Octane to render these and because not everyone has access to the plugin, I don't always go through the process (as it's often the same steps each time). If you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our website: cgshortcuts.com/product/dynamic-twisting-rope-in-cinema-4d/ or our Patreon page: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts . We also have an in-depth course about lighting, texturing and rendering here cgshortcuts.com/product/octane-ultimate-masterclass/ ;) Thanks for watching!

I found a solution for it: In the Dynamic tags of the two handlers (target and root) switch the collision inherit from "apply tag to Children" to "none". This should solve the problem. ;)

Horobe not work for r21 ):
Works in C4D 26??
You should switch to R 2023, the new rope tools are a much better solution these days
it works in its own scene but when I put it in a scene I already have created, it wont work
When I use the horope plugin it doesn't create a rope. Doesn't do anything.
