Colleen, I’ve struggled with disordered eating since I was 11 and even though I’m still struggling, your videos are so amazing and they really help me. I’m trying to get better using the motivation that I want to have healthy children when I’m older and make sure they have a healthy relationship with food. Thank you for all that you do. ❤
Hey collen! I have to thank you because ir's christmas and i just decided to have a piece of pie and i'm not freaking out! I have problems with food because for a long time i used it as a escape, i was overweigth for all my life, so i became an almond mom basically. But after months of watching your videos and struggling to alow myself to be more free, i did it! First time i'm not losing my mind, so THANK YOU, it's because of you i'm able to do that❤
As someone who has gestational diabetes right now… I cannot wait until the food rules and restrictions are gone (6 more weeks). I will say I made it a point when diagnosed to not obsess much about food labels and to accept insulin to avoid developing an unhealthy relationship with food. I still enjoy your content and look forward to when I can practice a healthier mindset towards food.
XOXO! I like to think of these instances not as restrictions, but empowered choices based on how you know your body will respond and what it needs to feel it's best. It's a small but FAB mindset shift to not feel deprived- give it a go!
Been there! I like to recommend starting to not count just 1 meal or snack a day. Instead, you can try reflecting on how different foods and amounts make you FEEL to get in tune with your body. The mindful journal app I use is linked in the description!
hi colleen, i want to ask for some advice my skin is super sensitive to a bunch of foods. so many of my favorite things make me break out, one of the most significant being peanut butter. i don’t have an allergy or anything though. how can i enjoy these things without feeling like crap when they inevitably give me some pimples? i have always been super insecure of my skin.
Hey! So my first thought is- do you KNOW it's peanut butter or is there anything else correlated? Do you also crave PB when stressed or lack of sleep + not washing face, etc. Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation! Not saying it's NOT but just FYI! When it comes to intolerances- it's a choice, not a rule! You CAN enjoy PB, and perhaps you want to knowing how it might affect your skin, or perhaps you choose to use almond butter or sunflower butter. Seeing it as a choice VS restriction is huge!
tysm for answering! i’m definitely thinking about it more and it’s honestly probably due to some stress too! you’re one of the few people that actually answers, i really appreciate you and your content
I started watching the videos for 2-3 weeks now no food rule but that's how you gain weight I lost over a hundred something pounds do the no food roll without gaining weight
