How much brass did you end up with?

Not a lot, to be honest. A measly 27g 😢 Now, the microscope I scrapped out that had 1.3kg worth of brass. Which is about $9.33 a kg in NZD.

@@MicroScraprMike wow, that’s less than I thought. I was thinking maybe at least a couple ounces.

Now that you mention it, haha. It's okay, though they're in a better place now.

Yes power boards are a nice easy scrap with a nice amount of brass, usually. 👍

@@MicroScraprMike, I strained my back before Christmas and spent many weeks laid up. I've done one scrap run since. Recently I've been having shoulder and knee pain. Had some xrays yesterday and go back to the doctor in a couple of weeks. Getting too old for all this scrapping. Cheers Mike. BTW, I hope you and family had a nice festive season break.

@afineliner740 I'm sorry to hear that! I wish you a speedy recovery! We did have a good Christmas, how about you? I didn't upload for a few weeks as I was inundated with over 300 monitors as was in my shorts video that I needed to get done. Would you believe it? I went and acquired some more, haha. Then, I proceeded to try my hand at gold recovery, too.

@@MicroScraprMike Christmas & New Year was a bit trying at times because of my back. 300 monitors !!! how on earth did you manage that (you should charge them). Gold recovery, that's something I am also aiming to try. I've kind of decided (my body),not to do any more scrap metal. When I can can, I'm just going to clear my non-ferrous, and then start processing my hoard of circuit boards and power boards, and put aside stuff for gold recovery.
