    I have done this with some older wigs and a crazy curl wig that I did not like. It worked great and now I love that wig! I was able to leave a little curl at the ends and it is very cute now. Thank you so much for showing how to do this!! I have done it on short and long wigs. So cool!

    This was very helpful. Thank you for leaving the steamer overfill in the video😂. I did that when I was trying to steam the wrinkles out of a thrifted wool jacket.

    I love this method, thank you. Unfortunately, I've thrown out so many synthetic wigs when the ends have become damaged... Now I can refrain from doing that 🤗

    i can't afford a steamer. I boiled the kettle. filled a cup with the scalding hot water. waited for the cup to be scalding hot as well. emptied the now hot cup and carefully put the hot cup on the wig to smooth it out. it worked for me!

    I absolutely love this method. I have not tried it with fabric softener, just water but definitely will do it that way next time. Btw...I am looking for a wig in the wolf cut style, do you have any suggestions?

      @JesseMSimons  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've read some warnings and horror stories about using fabric softener. Or being told not to leave it in the hair but to rinse it? What about your method makes it safe to use it? Trying to put the prices together in my head.

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use a very small amount and you can wash the wig after if you want to as well to wash the rest of the product out.

  • @elizabethwilson922
    @elizabethwilson922 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oooh, I just thought of this. Instead of fabric softener, coul I use your wig spay? If so, after the steam application to one doit just before brushing? Of mostly before steaming in order to facilitate the cone out?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always spray your wig with my wig spray before steaming and it will definitely help with repairing and softening the wig up too. I did try the spray in the steamer and while it does work it would be a waste of product to poor a whole bunch in there.

  • @elizabethwilson922
    @elizabethwilson922 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for this! I have a wig that needs a little love. I'm wondering, would it be possible to use one of those round brush dryers on cool, no heat, to add a curl under at the ends?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the bristles on the brush but in theory yes it would work like any other heat tool just do a test strand first. 😊

  • @keinohrtini
    @keinohrtini ปีที่แล้ว

    I should have known about that a year ago before I tried several other things that didn’t work until I finally gave up and cut off 20“ 😢😢😢

  • @lifebythecafterstrokeCHRISTINE
    @lifebythecafterstrokeCHRISTINE ปีที่แล้ว

    What would happen if spraying your wig spray on the wig, then hitting it with the steamer? Would it “condition” the wig? Thanks for the holiday sale :-). Christine Boothe

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I tried adding it to the steamer too lol I would recommend spraying your wig with my spray first then you can hit it with the steamer. You can still choose to use or not use fabric softener if your using my spray. I didn’t want you all to waste your spray pouring it into the steamer vs just spraying your wig and spraying it worked perfectly and used less product. 😊

    Can you curl this way if you put in curlers before steaming?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can just make sure you let them cool and dry completely and set before you take them out.

  • @elizabethwilson922
    @elizabethwilson922 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nope, one more lol! I often have to trim bangs. I know you've mentioned needing to seal them to prevent breakage. Would this be a way or would I be better off using a LOW heat curling iron?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely “seal” them this way too. 😊
