We suffer from too much success & given we've risen back towards the top it's the PAIN of not winning it all that haunts us. The last 17 (Ben's Career) years we've had teams that truly could've went all the way on about 9 different occasions (went on 3 of those seasons to the superbowl & went 2-1) we failed MISERABLY the other 6 years due to our own mistakes or notable injuries. If we were losing IN Superbowls i dont think there'd be as much complaining. But it's the troubles of always losing to New England that kinda ruined us this past decade. We were the second fiddle in the AFC (Arguably Third Fiddle if you consider Peyton Manning Led Teams). Over the last 20 years when you think AFC, you think Brady/Belichick, Peyton/Colts/Broncos & then you get Roethlisberger/Steelers/Tomlin. That's our dilemma. Similar to Green Bay.... There's a standard of over achieving. It's toxic as hell but according to Tomlin.... The standard is the standard & the standard is Lombardi trophies.
You can break it into 3 Acts
    ACT 1
From Superbowl 45, to the playibg down to the competition special against Tebow's Broncos, to shitshow of the 2012 & 2013 season.
    ACT 2
The injuries to Bell in 2014, Bell & Brown in 2015 + Toussaint's Fumble Blunder, Bell's Groin against NE, Chris Hogan's Career day due to Keith Butler's lack of adjustments in 2016 , Shazier's near paralysis to Jesse James No Catch Call & a BLAKE BORTLES led offense puttin up 38+ fumble recovery defensive TD on the nearly UNSTOPPABLE Steelers Offense of 2017.
    ACT 3
The Holdout from Leveon Bell, to the Ben & Brown divorce in 2018, the loss of Ben for the season when he FINALLY has the defense he's been yerning for 6 years in 2019. (Can't forget about Whack A Mole & Duck Dynasty as signal callers)
And FINALLY the collapse that only the Steelers could've pulled off... 11-0 start to close out the season 1-5 with an utter humiliation by the hands of the Cleveland Browns in the wildcard in 2020. (Losing Bush & Dupree to injury for the season & being without Joe Haden in the playoffs)
Pittsburgh had a shot to truly go all the way & at least MAKE the Superbowl in 2004, 2011, 2014-2017 & even 2020 truly despite their utter incompetence Offensively in my opinion because that Defense (WHEN NOT GIVEN A SHORT FIELD, could play with ANYONE) Although we're not at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to franchises... Not being the top class of the AFC like we're used to is where the trouble lies for us.

Seeing #14 throw two interceptions in Super Bowl 30 is real pain!!!!!! Nothing compares!!!!!! 🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡😡😡😡😡😡

Ok, now, there are fanbases in the NFL have gone through more suffering than many of us Steelers fans ever have. Like, when was the last time we had a losing season? 2003. When was the last time we really went through a dark age? That’s right: the 80’s. Now sure, it’s been coming up on 13 years of no Lombardi trophy but that drought is absolutely nothing compared to several other NFL franchises. No offense, but I’m absolutely disgusted on how spoiled our fanbase is. I mean seriously, I see so many Steelers fans that act like we have been the Jaguars, Buccaneers even though they just won the super bowl, the Browns, the Jets, the Dolphins, the Raiders, and any other bum franchises out there that have sucked for years. I don’t mean to leash out on Steeler nation by any means, but come on guys, appreciate what this franchise has done. There are about 26 other franchises out there that would sell their soul to be anywhere near as great of a franchise that we are

You're definitely not wrong. We suffer from too much success & given we've risen back towards the top it's the PAIN of not winning it all that haunts us. If we were losing Superbowls i dont think there'd be as kuch complaining. But it's the troubles of always losing to New England that kinda ruined us this past decade. We were the secind fiddle in the AFC. The standard is the standard
