Shipping vessels be great for A review. There is dry bulk, container, oil & product, liquefied natural gas vessels. Pay great dividends too. Thank you for your great reviews and demonstrating showing us Fast Graphs. Respectfully!

Wonder how those shipping vessels are gonna do with trouble in the Mid East. Price raises for goods, yes, and longer more expensive shipping routes.

    Wow, pretty rough looking charts.
    No ski-jump charts like Visa.
Thank you for inventing a way for me to do a preliminary analysis of 20 years of financial statements visually in the blink of an eye.
And then overlay price action to assess correlation and valuation? Priceless!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! 🎄

Nicely done, Chuck. I've always liked the pipelines in particular. No drilling. And like a toll road for oil and gas companies. A little surprised at the dividend volatility, there. There's a few others like ENB that are worth a look. And you did not mention the K-1 for tax purposes when looking at the energy MLPs. Kind of a pain. Thanks for all your work!

best time to invest in oil stocks is during recession when most investors do not want them. oil is a cyclical product so it is best to buy them close to the bottom of the cycle (recession)

I wonder why Enbridge (ENB) was not part of the group. Thanks Chuck for your great and interesting content during 2023 and beyond.

Not sure if u noticed Chuck but u connect the dots differently.
COP: u connect from higher price 2005-ish.
EPD u connect from 2009-ish bottom of market.
Apples to apples would be more helpful. Long COP since 2011-ish.

Thanks, but I was not comparing the company's equally. I was simply illustrating how valuation changes things regarding performance. To be clear, I was not discussing the same concept. With ConocoPhillips I was focused more on the cyclicality of the operating results, with EDP I was focused more on the more consistent howbeit not perfect operating history. Regards, Chuck

I had to sell EPD and ET because my broker was about to stop offering them. Also, while they paid a really nice dividend, because of the kind of businesses it is the State politicians stole me an astounding amount of 30 % of the dividend, so... Even with a nice dividend and kind of undervalued, I just didn't have an option really. So be careful. About XOM... I bought a small position when it was still falling for the dividend and the hope the price would go up... I as a newbie and I sold after it recovered from the crash... Then it more than doubled. The next crisis I know what to do about XOM and other petroleum stocks! Thanks.

Regardless of the sector, there’s very few top quality dividend payers that are on sale right now.

I am missing OGE, isn't that a perfect value/small growth/ great dividend / growing area (Oklahoma) example?

    • @FASTgraphs
      @FASTgraphs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

OGE is not in this sector is a utility stock, also it did not make this screen because the earnings yield is below 6%. In other words, is moderately overvalued

These oil companies don't look too compelling based on earnings. I guess that's what happens when you sell your product below the cost to produce it. Don't know why they price their product to lose money.
