I love rearranging a room with $0. Your idea of using decorations from room to room is such a great way to refresh your spaces. I especially love how you showcase your collection of ironstone dishes and the various pitchers you have collected over the years. The all white with a bit of color here and there in your dish/pitcher collection is just beautiful! I’m with you: I like the slight imperfections of dishes (discoloration, chips, cracks), they each have their own story, too. Thanks for inviting us into your home to see how easy it is to refresh a room. I love the new look❤️
You know Cindy my first like or love is the Ironstone n you definitely have a great collection. That hunting/China cabinet is so cool. At first I thought it looked more like a pie safe. I like how you did it over. There’s so much that I like in your dining room. What really caught my attention was your children’s Windsor like chairs. Looks like you have a set of 4. They are so precious. I have a thing for itty bitty stuff LOL. I also noticed the chair you reupholstered n it looked like you did the other one am I wrong? I thought you did a superb job doing that over. Your dining room looks so nice n yes your cabinet is in a perfect spot. Everything looks right on! Seeing I’m late in seeing this video. Had some problems with phone. Want to wish you n Steve a wonderful weekend. God Bless. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟
Hi Shelly! The ironstone is something I enjoy hunting for. It's fun to find a small plate or bowl for just a couple of dollars. About those chairs: I cared for an elderly lady for 18 years before she went on to glory. Her family gifted me with one of the small children's chairs and since then I have collected the others. I have a thing for small things too so we are kindred spirits! As for the second upholstered chair....well it's not done yet! Agh!! I'm looking at it now and realized I have got to get that done! Thanks for the well wishes for a good weekend. I hope you have a good one too - Blessings to you Shelly!🥰
It was lovely to see someone else appreciate the Yorktown dishes. I received a huge collection of those dishes as wedding presents 51 yrs. ago and loved them. They weren;t so known back then. I sold them to a young family, several years ago,, who are still using them. I kept a few of my favorite serving pieces and still use them. I'm a firm believer in using what I have and don't save them for "special" occaisions. Everyday is a special occaision! The refresh looks good!
I agree 100% - everyday is special! I have used the Yorktown dishes over and over. Now I use the ironstone over and over! If something breaks its no big deal. To me, it's better to use it! Thanks for watching!😊
I love the cabinet with white ironstone...but my favorite is the doors with chicken wire with the plates and stuff. Love that so much. And also, the needle point of November & December. But all looks awesome. ❤😊 I enjoyed the video.
Cindy, I have always loved your home and it’s been a perfect example of what I’d love to have. Having said that, I thought I’d never want it any other way and yet, I love the changes you’ve made. Favorites are the cabinet with all your ironstone and white. You styled it beautifully. I also love the plates you’ve displayed in the wall. Every choice and change you’ve made is perfection! God bless you and your hubby!
I liked it all, Cindy! Of all things I love the floor lamp in your dining area. So simple and pretty! I want to ask your opinion on something, for a while I wanted to use old hutches and turn them into kitchen cabinets, BUT, the other day my chimney sweep ( who’s a lady ), told me about using chalk paints, and partly distress my current kitchen cabinets. She told me about using Anne Sloane chalk paints, and I love her colours. She got her inspiration from Pin Interest. Might try that instead, would save a lot of money, where I can put it towards a nice reclaimed butler/farmers sink.
Thanks Donna! That corner lamp cost me only $5! It was such a deal. As for painting your cabinets - it is definately a savings to paint plus it might be quicker. Finding just the right cabinets would be a challenge. If I were you, I would not seal the cabinets with wax that is often used to seal chalk paint. It will break down over time especially on pieces that get heavy use like cabinets. I recommend you seal the chalk paint with a clear polycrylic in a matte finish if you want the waxed look. I've done this tons of times on furniture and it creates a flat wax-looking finish but the durability of poly. Hope this helps!
I rearrange a lot...it's an easy way to refresh the house and give a good clean, reasses what I have, toss clutter and all for only the cost of my labor.
Maybe a vintage/cottagey/chippy swag lamp over your table would work, even an upside down basket with a light in it, but you'd need a stud and some electrical work (your husband might qualify as the stud....)!

It's all beautiful, but I especially like the use of the doors with chicken wire to display your platters and dishes! Very clever!
Glad you like it! Broken doors are easy to come by!

The cabinet is amazing and I can hardly believe it was free!
I love that huge cabinet and the ironstone, the corbels you added and the dishes on the chicken wire. I fell in love with those drop leaf side tables!
Thank you! Those little drop leaf tables were about $8 each!
This was a good reminder for me as to why I don't need to buy in excess! Thank you :D
Glad it was helpful! Hope you enjoyed watching!
It turned out great Cindy!
Thanks Michele! You were my encouragment to do it!
I loved shopping at Pfaltzgraff when I lived in York, PA in the late 1980s 😊.
Your blue pattern is one of my favorites.
So cool! We bought our beginning set of Pfaltzgraff in York!

I love the stone fireplace! What a focal point
Thaks Mary! We really enjoy that fireplace in the chilly months!
Love the pot lids on the little shelves, and the cabinet looks perfect there.
Thanks so much! 😊 It's a great way to use mismatched lids - and I have plenty of those!
I love antiques too! Love farmhouse vintage!❤
Simply the best decor especially when it's cheap!
All looks amazing. Love your cabinet and all the ironstone.
Thank you! It's been fun to collect the ironstone!
I adore iron stone. My collection is growing all the time. The cabinet is great to store and display. ❤

Thanks for the ideas Joan! I will pass that on to my hubby- I'm sure he will be flattered!!
I’m in southern Sussex County and have tried many times for auctions. Where do you find them in Delaware?
Hi Mary! We like to go to Wilson's Auction in Lincoln DE. It's on the south bound side of 113. It's the best auction!!
@@ReinventedDelaware thank you! I’ll look them up
My favorite was the dishes and display cabinet
Dishes are my weak spot!
