    A brilliant and another important video Dr Bhatti. I had not one but TWO punch grafts procedures not at the ago of 22 but 18 and 19!!!! I'm now 53 so you can imagine how long ago that was. After two years after the surgery I had the plugs in the hairline and temples removed in several strip excision procedures. This has left me with a horizontal scar running across the top of my hairline. As my hair continued to recede I resorted to wearing a hair piece for the next 25 years. Finally I decided to shave it all off (scars and all) and have SMP. Today it's not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than what I went through from basically my late teens. I was so self conscious of the plugs, then the scars that I never even thought of suing the surgeon for years (which I never did). Looking back now, I really want every young guy to realize that not everyone is a hair transplant candidate. Even today I don't have enough donor with today's FUE and FUT techniques (including the use of beard hair, etc). The reason I'm posting this is because of my great respect for Dr Bhatti and for everyone who today is in the position that I was in when I was entering adulthood with thinning hair. At such a young age you identify with your hair (and I had long, curly, hippy hair that the girls always commented on in my late teens). It is part of your identity. But having surgery at such a young age will only leave you with a lifetime of regrets and low self esteem. Today you can shave your head, have SMP, etc. You may even be a candidate if you just wait as Dr Bhatti has stated. You have minoxidol, finasteride, etc, etc. Shaving my head back then wasn't even a consideration because what's in vogue today changes tomorrow. Their were no Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, the Rock role models back then. Again, I'm pleading with you that it's better, cheaper and less painful to learn from my mistakes than from your own. Thanks for sharing!

    I'm 24 now, my hairline started to recede when I was 18 and ever since then I have been constantly bothered about my hair so much that whenever I meet someone new I have a tendency to look at his or her hair first 😅. Recently I have noticed some balding in my crown area which has pulled me down more emotionally nd pushed me into some level of depression . I have been giving serious thoughts about a hair transplant nd did all the research I could until i just came accross this video. The information u shared and kind of confidence u instilled on me, I haven't seen it in any other content. You have explained it beautifully. Now, I have decided to put a stop sign on my hair transplantation thoughts for the time being and to try other natural remedies to save nd maintain my existing hair till I can nd leave the rest to the way the nature has intended for me! Thank you doctor.

    Very enjoyable video! One question: Can we really know whether the increase in baldness is evolutionary? A period of 20 years seems quite short for such a thing to occur noticeably. Could it be another reason like a change in diet or lifestyle over the last 20 years?

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching the video and for being on the channel.
      Balding surely is evolutionary. It has, in the recent past, been hastened by environmental factors like- altered nutrition , stress at work, sleep deficit, excessive/improper hair care and other environmental and lifestyle issues.

    What is the difference 22 vs 25 for hair transplant just because you are a tad bit older wont make the transplant more effective if your donar area gets less it's something that's going to happen down the line anyways its called male pattern baldness Im 22 and nordwood 3 and am going for a transplant soon it wont make a difference if I wait til 25 if my hair gets worse it was bound to happen anyways

    Respected sir i had a doubt.Iam asking this because i don't want to keep a fake promise for myself. i started showing the signs of balding at the age of 19 and i started using fin a month ago. My maternal grandfather and uncles are not bald but my father, grandfather and his sibilings are bald all of them have the same balding pattern 7. But for one reason they was lucky they became bald after age 35 i asked them 😊. Here i am the only one in this generation with balding in my fam. Anyway my question is.
    * ) in this video you said about the donor area and its permanency. In the case of my father and his sibilings donor area is very weak majority of hairs are thin and weak. When it comes to genitics i manifested pattern hairloss from that gene. So my donor area is also designed like them right? So my donor area will also goes like them for sure ?. If so i will never can do hair transplant. So i don't want to give fake promise to me and make myself understand the fact and live the life as a bald man.
    Is there any chance not to happen like this sir. What is the sign of having weak donor area

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. The gene of baldness does not get transmitted to all in the family. Inheritance is complex. At 25 we shall be able to know which way you are heading.

  • @saifankhan3094
    @saifankhan3094 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video sir.
    I have a question.
    At the age of 23 you won't approve for hair transplant because of unclear stability of donor hair.
    But even if donor area is not sufficient we can have beard or chest hairs transplanted ..so there should never be shortage of donor hairs since we can have it from beard chest ..etc.

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Done alone, body hair will look unnatural, unaesthetic and downright ugly. Their unique morphological characteristics are different from scalp hair. Hence they need to be disguised amidst scalp grafts during plantation. Theoretically a good question.

    If baldness is slowly progressing(family history of grade 2 - 3 baldness)
    Then hairline can be restored at 22 or to wait

      You will need in person asessment. I will need to see quality of donr hair and degree of miniaturisation. Every generation has a grade or 2 higher degree of baldness than the previous generation. So you cannot stay reassured and complacent that your baldness will stop at 3.

    Problem with a young guy is that he will likely bald to Norwood 7; and a Norwood 7 is very hard to get full coverage. A 22 year old will want a full, thick hair of teenage hair which is impossible with a hair transplant at a Norwood 7.
    Plus if you do a hair transplant on a Norwood 3 at 22; the transplant might look great for a few years. But when that 22 year old continues to bald, he will end up with an unnatural hairline with baldness behind it.
    I think for a young guy who has just started to shed bad, Finasteride is the only option. Getting on Finasteride ASAP is the only cure. All of my family are Norwood 5+. I started shedding bad at 21, 100's of hairs a day, and I thought - this is it, I am doomed. I got on Finasteride, the Shedding stopped after 2 weeks and I am Norwood 2 even now 10 years later.
    As far as Baldness being the future evolution of Humanity - I don't think the future of Humanity is to go bald (like in Larry Niven's Science Fiction book "Ringworld" - the future humans male and female were all Bald, apart from a thin strip around the back) - I think instead, Genetic Engineering will eliminate balding and within 20 or so generations, all humans will be tall, bronze skin, light eyes, thick hair, and little body hair all due to Genetic Engineering.
    Have you seen the Bollywood films Bala and the other one Udja Chaman? it shows people take hairloss seriously so they will use Genetic Engineering to stop it (in about 100 years when it becomes available)

      On this I beg to differ.
      . This is a passing stage in evolution. I wish I am wrong though. Does not serve my interests since I am fully invested in surgical hair restoration!

    I got my hair transplant just a few months back, I m currently 20.. grafted hairline doesn't look as expected.. and considering the fact that you said the patient shouldn't be suicidal.. I have multiple emotions of self harm and holocaust.. I guess it's really an end game for me.

      And that is the very age that I alays warn patients about not to get a hair transplant. You should seek counseling from a psychologist and not continue to do self harm. And avoid the surgeon who obliged you with a hairline at 20, like the plague!
