Favorite wave was at 13:55 on your brother's board. Crazy fast drop and then the wave just expoded behind you. I thought the ride was over but you still managed to hang and and make to the shoulder. Epic is the word. 🌴🌴🌴
I noticed at the beginning that John had a quad while you had a thruster, and it's cool you took the time to describe how each performed and compared. Excellent vid and content.
Been tuning in to the content more consistently now and I am hooked. Being mic’d up in the water truly gives the viewer the feeling as if they were there. From the air drops, to knifeing the edge and a sendy session with the bois is moments you will cherish forever. Congrats on the partnership as well

Dude the misses is absolutely bangin in that outfit. Man your life and success is something gifted from god himself! Technical ability, big wave ball bags, adventurous nature. You Nathan have the life! ❤
You look so happy out there man. Epic footage never seen anyone show what it's like being out the back with 20 other guys paddling for your life when a big set rolls through. The way you are able to flip around paddle and drop in almost instantly is incredible
14:10 Man, can't believe you kept your feet on John's board through that explosion of whitewater! Did not expect to see you emerge from that one. I really loved that wave you shared with Kai Lenny at 14:45 as well, top vibes (and props to the Z-Man and GoPro for the different angles throughout, always beautiful and interesting)
Live in Arizona so will need that sunscreen for sure. What a great session. So much water moving around. You better know what you are doing out there. Not surprised it was a small crew of frigging legends.
It’s crazy how the pov cam makes those waves look kind of tame but from afar those waves would hold people down for days no doubt bloody awesome power in them, bloody awesome to see you ride actually pulling off turns etc on such a massive board as well
Your channel is blowing up so glad for you and I love that you include your wife in your Blogs, Vlogs, and the channel in general. You two complement each other. Keep up the good work and the great videos. Love your videos when you travel to other countries and visit the towns as well as the awesome surfing.
this is a great vlog. i like how you managed a few different camera angles and showed those to provide a comprehensive view and a great thorough idea of the rides and how it feels. great :) when the waves and boards get to that size, it looks like an intense experience, especially those crazy paddle in and drops and all the water turbulence. fun! :)
Hey Nate, On the button, 2 strikes and in! Happy to see you get a trim pilgrim!! Congratulations on Protekt decision, best of luck. Not easy to get shit to Indonesia so I hope it blows up all the way here!
Great to see you 2 together . Keep up the great vlog . Keep on Keeping On .. Thanks for your epic content ! Regards from Western Australia Come and do our Big Bombies and the Northwest Winter Wonders Consider the Abrolhos Islands . Wallaby Island
you make this looking easy as usual but waves were looking scary from the hill and much more scary watching the wall of white water nad the bumps in the video
Great vid. You guys really sent it. I noticed your guns have traction pads most of the full length. Do you do that for your shorter boards? My biggest boards range from 7'6" and smallest is 6'4". Any reason you don't use full deck on smaller boards? I use traction pads full length. They work really well in NJ waves even in winter and save on the wax melting in car in summer! Congrats on the equity position in a product you trust.
After a horrific day stranded on the side of the highway in freezing conditions with a jacket Ohh my God needed the Nate dose.. your laugh cracks me th F up 😂😂laughing in the worst case scenarios thought i was strange freezing and laughing my ass off on the side of the road 🧊 🥶
@@NathanFlorence last time I chatted to him in town he had a beautiful soul of a partner with him ,baby in arms and seemed very at piece with himself ,so stoked for him.
i dont use sunscreen because of its harmful chemicals. If you eat lots of dark leafy greens and fruits high in anti oxidants you wont get sunburned. I surf 2-4 hours atleast 3 times a week on Oahu and no need sunscreen.
Love the content. One great addition would be adding subtitles to the Go-Pro footage. It's hard to understand with the water going in and out of the mic
What a vibe enjoyed this very much … ! Could you say a bit about how long you were out there for/ how long between riding each wave/ how tiring was this session compared with others ?
I feel like Waimea is so close to being such a sick wave. If that barrel section didn’t clamp so hard guys could start knifing the take offs and get absolutely pitted kinda like Jaws.
It's ridiculous how small waves look on the POV compared to other angles! The one with the small air looked like hardly anything. And then from other angles, it's like WOAH!!!
I think one day waimea will be the biggest wave I ride. Looks like the most doable of all the bigger spots. gentle slopes if you if you don't take a late deep drop in.
Nate I would like to hear yours and John Johns take on growing up as grommets under brock little Shane Dorian ect and some stories about how they helped and affected you guys as surfers and of course any other stories of Curren whoever made an impact on you boys I’m sure you guys have a few
Fun to hear you laughing so much out there - its clear you were in your element w/ the boyz. Never mind Johns RED board, the one you need to try is the LIME GREEN board! Could've been wave/positioning, but that thing seemed noticibly faster than every other board out there (maybe too fast)? IThat said, 'm not quite as fond of the LIME GREEN wetsuit, but anyone surfing in those conditions has the right to wear whatever the Phuck he pleases... as far as I'm concerened.
Board camera is cool, but you can't tell how big the wave is from that angle. Appreciate the wide shots from the beach, showing the same wave but from a different perspective. 🤙
Yeah there were some solid ones but, Eddie outdid himself with the swell you missed with a broken back. I don't know how it is in Hawaii, but with all those fans during that contest. That's crazy to think about the logistics, The swell shows up and everybody scrambling to make sure everybody is safe no time to plan for it.
just laughing, smiling and having fun in waves i would surely die in....legend!
It's a beautiful day, Nathan Florence at the bay, John John Florence at Sunset life has come full circle 😊
Favorite wave was at 13:55 on your brother's board. Crazy fast drop and then the wave just expoded behind you. I thought the ride was over but you still managed to hang and and make to the shoulder. Epic is the word. 🌴🌴🌴
More Steep and Deep Then Most Have ever been There.
Stellar NextLevel Outstanding piece of Pure Energy
the drone angle doesn’t do justice
Love seeing the comradery in the water! And great video!

You have been putting out the best surf videos ever! POV and all the angles combined with the stoke!!!
100%.
Nate's content is consistently the best.

Great clips Nathan. Nothing like having the time of your life. 😊

Most extraordinary photography, every angle covered.
inside the wetsuits angle next! you hyped!

Ooooowwww Yeeeah, the best of times every dude is a biiig wave riding stud, look how much these guys love storms !!!
Had a gr8 time watching too !! Congratulations on all the awards !! 🎉🎉🎉😊
Another awesome session Nate, I always enjoy watching your videos, best in the business. Keep up the good work 🤙🏽
Always loved following the Florences. These videos are so enjoyable. Seeing you guys in this style content is just so sick.
love the raw audio. please keep it like this
Placing my order now because of this intro! Team Florence all the way. 🤘
Epic waves and skill! Lots of air drops. 👍💪
Stoked! The drone angle showing the rip/channel at 10:00 in is insane
Come surf winter Oregon with us if you like some Chunder 😛
People don't realize just how small Waimea bay really is. You get caught in that rip and sucked west/south.. Game over in the old days.
Minute 14.01 is the bomb !!! 👍👍👍

“LETS GO PROTECCTTT, WE’RE COMPANY OWNERS anyway aside from that I’m gonna ride my nine eight.” 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Always pleasure to get content from you guys, cause we always get freeky moment while watchin it, thanks❤
Hey Nate,
On the button, 2 strikes and in!
Happy to see you get a trim pilgrim!!
Congratulations on Protekt decision, best of luck.
Not easy to get shit to Indonesia so I hope it blows up all the way here!
Love your deep takeoffs, no one is surfing Waimea like you ⚡🤙
Well it's No January 22, 2023 (The Eddie), but still a pretty good size swell! Big props to your videographers! Excellent work!
Nathan has grest positioning, always seems to be in the right spot , learnt the craft 🍹
Top sesión Nat 👍👍👍
So sick to watch you guys sending it on that epic sesh!! Thank you for making my hidden break at work epic!! 😂🤙🏼
Love how stoked you are.. yewwww
My first thought was that you made that Steep drop on John's board because the board looked faster than yours, great session! You ripped it Nathan.
O nível de satisfação dele é surreal
Great to see you 2 together . Keep up the great vlog . Keep on Keeping On ..
Thanks for your epic content !

Its very cool!! great and aewsome pictures and imagens. its , I can see the joy on your face
Love your vlogs nate, always fun watching you kill it like always!!!
Yeah hefty drops all round congrats. It's so much better when you guys are serious and say relevant stuff, as opposed to mucking around. Thanks.
awesome! stoked for you all!

Crazy buggers! Huge waves. Makes me scared to watch
Protekt is the best! Great product! Thanks for putting me on game Nate, good luck this year!
It's just likein the film venom with Tom Hardy that was trippy 2 watch 😮 luv LA XXXXXXX
big respect, the big wave hold down is a traumatizer
There's Tom again ,repping it for St Ives Cornwall. Top lad .
Toms legend
@@NathanFlorence last time I chatted to him in town he had a beautiful soul of a partner with him ,baby in arms and seemed very at piece with himself ,so stoked for him.
Yes! This was a Nate episode. Big heavy water. I'm interested in the protekt sunscreen stick. What's the best way to get ahold of that?
i dont use sunscreen because of its harmful chemicals. If you eat lots of dark leafy greens and fruits high in anti oxidants you wont get sunburned. I surf 2-4 hours atleast 3 times a week on Oahu and no need sunscreen.
spin the stickers so they appear the right way round in the go pro frame! congrats on the protektion!
Dang Nate, that was sick!
Love the content. One great addition would be adding subtitles to the Go-Pro footage. It's hard to understand with the water going in and out of the mic
Awsome video mate
What a vibe enjoyed this very much … ! Could you say a bit about how long you were out there for/ how long between riding each wave/ how tiring was this session compared with others ?
I love how the board POV cam makes it look like it's a fall day at Chun's
Oh man, so you do get John's powers when you use his stuff!! "Like John" 3rd movie in the series, must get myself an ex JJF Pyzel 😂
Incredible👍👍🤙
Loved it Nathan! Congrats on the #Protekt move as well. Later
How is John so comfortable in every situation 🤯
JF is just legend.
That top % within the greats of his generation.
Amazing to watch and appreciate.
Congrats on equity ownership. Stoked for you kiddo.
Making it look easy, cheers
Weird hw small it looks from the board cam - then from the beach is massive!!! Interesting for sure though!
I feel like Waimea is so close to being such a sick wave. If that barrel section didn’t clamp so hard guys could start knifing the take offs and get absolutely pitted kinda like Jaws.
9:40 Bondi sometimes dumps like that at a similar size, like 12ft+, its awesome to see
Gotta have a pretty special connection to the ocean to be out on days like that. Damn
Love the nose-of-board perspective.
Compared to what Nate usually surfs, A fun, playful, Happy Sesh..
Nate looked like captain of the sea charging out on his board;)
Good lord Nathan your wife is beautiful! Congratulations big dog keep getting after it!
It's ridiculous how small waves look on the POV compared to other angles! The one with the small air looked like hardly anything. And then from other angles, it's like WOAH!!!
Massive omg, thank you for thoses images as usual !
Just insane 👊👊
I think one day waimea will be the biggest wave I ride. Looks like the most doable of all the bigger spots. gentle slopes if you if you don't take a late deep drop in.
The conditions looked the same when the storm got to cali, wonder if we caught the same swell lines from all that way
big fun
Some serious "moguls" at the 8:30 ride...Nice job!
Epicenter Team Florence 🔥🥷🤙
Insane!
Nate I would like to hear yours and John Johns take on growing up as grommets under brock little Shane Dorian ect and some stories about how they helped and affected you guys as surfers and of course any other stories of Curren whoever made an impact on you boys
I’m sure you guys have a few
3:43 amazing

its good that you kept the intro short
Smart move investing in the company. It's been an option guys like tony hawk decided to do and paid off well.
Mahina seems like a cool down-to-earth chick!
that airdrop was nutttts
Can you please sort Protekt out for international shipping ❤ I tried ordering to here is Australia
Nate, that was awesome.
Two questions:
1. Which Garmin watch are you using these days?
2. You and Koa gonna revive your podcast?
ok, strike the 2nd question--saw the new pod with Tom Lowe--sick episode. 😯
Still curious about which Garmin you are using.
Thanks in advance!
Nice session
Board camera is cool, but you can't tell how big the wave is from that angle. Appreciate the wide shots from the beach, showing the same wave but from a different perspective. 🤙
10:03 yello board dude going over the fall
Yeah that’s a bad day ha ha
W0W!
Is that your misses? You really are the king of catching bombs!
MR AIR Dropp🏆🏆🏆🏆💪🏼🏄🏼♂️
Do you ever go out when its big? or just on small days such as this?
Party wave of consequence
radical board!
Yeah there were some solid ones but, Eddie outdid himself with the swell you missed with a broken back. I don't know how it is in Hawaii, but with all those fans during that contest.
