The bell rang and I didn't have time to ask her, but a bunch of her friends told me (at different times) that she doesn't like me and I started getting really nervous and started to feel a little heart broken. At the end of the day, I saw her leave and I couldn't even count how many eyes were staring at me. I almost couldn't breath. Then I heard laughter and rumors. That day was the worst day of my entire life and ever since then I've felt empty. I need a refresher to get back on my feet, but how can I when that constant pain of rejection is always going to be a mark under my eyelids? I wish I could reverse time and never make a mistake like that again. I know I'll never be loved and I'll end up being alone. After the school year was over I moved to a school 25 miles away and started my life over. Thinking I could forget was not easy and I still cry myself to sleep over it. I need some help...

It was a huge leap for him to ask you out, or if you asked him out you should just be lucky that he didn't reject you from fear. He's most likely nervous every time he sees you, even though you two are already going out. If you want faster progression, you must arrange the date because he might take several more months before he has the gumption to see if you would like to go out on a date. This is coming from a guy who is very shy as well, and I know how he feels. I hope you take this into consideration.
