as do i. a few years ago i got an urge to see an Urzas Destiny opening! 4k for a box is wild lol it wqs the first time i saw cards in about 20 years at that point. now i Play mostly on Arena
If it's just forest animals, then count me out. That is such a boring plane toast concept. I mean if you want to make a squirrel deck sure, but beyond that bloomburrow sounds too plane and boring to me. Hopefully they add a few dragons or something else cool to keep things awesome, because otherwise i see no reason to get anything but maybe a few singles.
So apparently this set was suppose to be like the epiloge for March of the machines but that failed so badly they tried adding more so they can say it's a medium size set
Yep. They already bailed on the Outlaws of Thunder Junction one after all, so it makes sense they would do it here too. The good news is that there will be quite a lot of Human Tribal support in the long run.
@@CEREMELLATTE is English your first language? I said "[prices] are inflated right now." As in they are higher than they are supposed to be. Yes when they go down that will be deflation, but they are currently inflated.
if they made it as good as the other crossovers then the cards would last much better and not just be forgotten about in a month or two but theyre just deciding to make these cards lame for seemingly no reason
@@paddypenguin8895 I actually really like this set and there are quite a few cool cards, nothing super pushed, but that’s similar to the doctor who crossover.
It would be fine if the packs weren't reduced to 7 cards per pack on play boosters and there was so few comp cards. Some of the art is really cool but for the price they're going for, it's not worth it. Looking forward to bloomburrow and duskmourne
No lie. I loved a black assassin that cost 2 black and 1 colourless mana back in the day. Saw this set and bought the starter kit as well as the LoTR starter kit. Hoping for some great assasins games.
I Remember when assassins trophy was first printed in Guilds Of Ravnica it was selling for 120 Canadian. That wasn't even that long ago they've reprinted that card into the ground.
I’m glad i love assassin’s creed. Like charlie said, really only up until black flag. I consider the later games to be a different series taking place in the assassin’s creed world. Going to love these Ezio cards
What i like about mtg is these crossover sets. I dont play anymore and i would never play again, but these crossover sets are cool. I always see the fallout commander decks on shelves
Assassin's Creed 2 is still one of my favorite games. This set doesn't have much, but most of the cards put together in an Ezio Commander deck is great!
The three singles I bought from this set are the Golgari Deathtouch legend because I have a Chevil deck and I am replacing the commander with her. Leonardo da Vinci because his card is dope and powerful for fun games and Shao Jun for a Cedh deck that wins with Dockside Curio loops.
Big missed opportunity to give Edward Kenway a splash of white. I wanted to use him as a commander with Ajani in the deck so I could name it "Leave Her Ajani, Leave Her."
Charlie you got me into MTG and I already spend $300 in my first week whilst still trying to figure out how to even play commander. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME
I bought a bundle, a booster box and 2 collector booster packs and did not pull one Ezio. Plus there's no cool flavor text, they could have had such cool flavor text.
I've been underwhelmed with Magic for a while. I haven't bought any product since Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. (because I'm a massive D&D nerd.) I was interested in the Lord of the Rings set, but never bought any for some reason. I'm a little curious with the upcoming Bloomburrow set. I'm getting nostalgic Redwall vibes from it.
There just hasn't been good sets. Fallout was mostly a miss despite a few good individual cards. Ravnica Remastered was a reprint set that made some mythics more accessible. Otherwise, nothing special. Doctor Who was mixed at best. Some interesting partner pairings for commander, but not much otherwise. Lost Caverns of Ixalan had the dinosaur commander deck and not much else. Karlov Manor was pretty negative and Outlaw Junction was a miss for most people despite a few new mechanics. Modern Horizons 3 had a few notable cards, but the double faced land spells are kind of the only thing that might be worth picking up for most people. The last sets that people were hyped for were really hyped for were was March of the Machines and Phyrexian stuff.
If there's no commons that means the uncommons are common and the rares are uncommon lol. If you open 3 boxes you probably opened a playset of everything there is to get.
I forget what other set it was that did it, but it seemed like they welded the packs shut. I'm not a big AC fan, but i might pick some up, tho i'm really waiting for Bloomburrow and Duskmourne.
It has to do with where the cards are made. They get it from one of several places and this is the one with the terrible glue for their seals. I really miss the ones printed in Japan. Those were amazing.
When is Charlie going to open the second Alpha starter? Also, I would love to see a collab with fellow Floridaman Rudy from Alpha Investments. I'm sure he'd be willing to source you some Urza block boxes
My relationship with assassins creed is oretty similar to Charlie’s I haven’t loved a game they did since black flag. That said I’ve always maintained a love for the flavor of not the story or gameplay and I’m rlly excited for the set. I’d love to make a becket brass Edward kenway deck at some point
It's more of the Aftermath set problem for Assassin's Creed. It's not a full set, but instead something like 60 cards. They tossed in a lot of reprints to pad it out, but it's only around a quarter of the cards of a normal set otherwise. Bloomburrow by comparison already has two notable cards in the form of Hugs who can exile from the top of your deck and play an extra land and Mabel comes built in with a piece of equipment.
Set is a flop. Most aren't even really aware of it right now, the price per pack is ridiculous, and there are virtually no cards actually worth a shit in modern in it.
Assassin creed was a money grab, for sure, but it also finally gave us another pirate commander, made assassin tribal finally a thing and brought in assassin creed to magic. That's it. If you like any of the 3, it was worth it.
I like a lot of the cards from this set tbh and they're pretty powerful, I think the power of MH3 has people overlooking this set (which is understandable)
I love the skill check channel to feed my addiction to opening cards without breaking my bank account.
as do i. a few years ago i got an urge to see an Urzas Destiny opening! 4k for a box is wild lol it wqs the first time i saw cards in about 20 years at that point. now i Play mostly on Arena
This couldnt be more true dude same here lol

I would love to see an Elden Ring x MTG.
Yes please!
Would go hard af
The closest you might get is a Secret Lair.
This!!!!
That would make too much sense
Almost all the assassins creed cards are inflated right now so anything he opened $5 or less is gonna be $1 or less in 2 weeks.
that is deflate, not inflate.. my guy

Ngl, I was watching the claw machine more than the opening. xD

You most likely mean Royal Assassin, which is reprinted in this set
Assassin's Creed MTG set art: "Man in hood is ominous," or "here's a thing."
I LOVE WATCHING HIM OPEN MAGIC CARDS RAHHH
im addicted to his addiction, am i a cardboard crackbaby?
ME TOO! RRRAAAAAHHH
7 card packs and 24 pack boosters are just pathetic to charge for 140 dollars id be surprised if anyone wanted to spend their money on this.
ubishit sheep will.

"What are those sealed with"? Ubisoft Greed lol
Skill Check and Wubby Magic Monday are my main source of background card opening/commander sounds
42:41 ok but I actually loved Sean and Rebecca in the games. Unironically my favorite characters outside of the animus
15:50 I thought the same thing about the DnD movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend it, and regret not supporting it in theatres.
When Charlie stops valuing cards on price im sure he’ll enjoy it more. Theres PLENTY of staples under 2 dollars that are all worth.
The full set of Rare lands makes a panorama
I picked up a few singles cheap for a couple of decks. I already own and I’m good.
I’m more than okay with this if Bloomburrow and Horror set will be good
"add-a-whale, breaker of chains"
top kek
Charlie's LGS has never had such a profitable year.
"It's free real estate"
last assasins creed game i enjoyed was unity but still excited for this set

on the contrary, many of the games after black flag are pretty good, like unity or origins and especially mirage
its weird seeing foil etched being so high since in the past foil etched has been the cheapest.
I agree I got “Reconnaissance” and every other version of the card is $20 dollars except the AC one. (Oh well hopefully it runs well with dogmeat)
The best thing to come out of the series in a long time
so excited for everyone else to open this set so I can buy singles
I remember one expansion of Pokemon where you basically had to cut the packs open or you’d bend the crap out of them trying to open the pack.
Love this content, hope you do Bloomburrow openings.
Bloomburrow is going to be awesome
the showcases are uglier than the dnd set, didn't think that was possible. ignoring this set until bloomburrow comes out, shit looks so hype

I think we need an intervention for Charlie
BloomBurrow Next month boys, Hopefully when spoilers come out. Will figure out the heavy hitters in there.

Charlie is going to get absolutely rinsed on these packs.
At least if we had Fallout cards, that means we’ll most likely will get Elder Scrolls/MTG
They actually made a Greek Cleopatra I'm kinda shocked, I was expecting a Beyoncepatra
So the Assassin's Creed cards are just as underwhelming as the games now.
I’m curious what he’s using to find the price and what is the desired card in the set
Tbh I really like the LOTR cards but all this crossover stuff is getting a little tiring.
