This release was very improvised. They originally didn't plan to release it but when they saw the reaction on social media they realized they had to release it.
Yeah, that's what I thought. That's why I thought it was great that they listened to us.😁 I was thinking that maybe they might have shot a video for it kind of last minute with actors and stuff, like they did with the other videos, but I guess there wasn't enough time for that, so they just went with a video of live ootage. But either way, I'm happy it's a single so more of Muse's heavier stuff will be on the radio for other people to listen to, and hopefully, it will gain them new fans!

I love this song so freaking much, ots easily the best song they done in a long time, their new heavy sound is something I hope they really experiment in the future. No pun intended but they absolutely *killed* it 🤘

They are so good at playing live that, apart from the crowd noise and some less noticeable details in the live version, the studio version sounds almost the same! This is proof of how talented they are!!

Like you said. Older muse fans love the heavier stuff. I was the biggest Muse fan for years. I first seen them at Reading 99. Got to hang out with them in Berlin on the resistance tour. But by the 2nd law I was finding less tracks on the albums I liked. Same with Drones and Simulation theory done nothing for me sadly. But now if feels like their back. Looking forward to the new album

An absolute assault on the sense of hearing. It must be turned up and played as loud as you can manage! Matt I love you, that solo is f*****g incredible sir!
So excited for the new album, it seems going by the tracks that have been released so far that it will contain elements from all of their back catalogue which as a fan excites me greatly!
In Kill or be Killed, you can hear everything from Origin of Symmetry right up to Simulation Theory. The main guitar riff is very reminiscent of New Born and the battle part of The Globalist, then you have the falcetto vocals before the solo which are very United States of Eurasiary and then after the solo Matt goes all Knights of Cydonia on us. Then comes the epic solo itself which is a cross between Stockholm Syndrome and Hysteria and is just wow! Then right at the end, you have the synths which take you right back to Resistance. These boys are back with an almighty bang, prepare to be blown away fellow Muse Fans. 😊❤️🎸💪🏻😲🔥

Ordered a couple of WOTP albums on the special coloured vinyl. I’m the same as you. Like to hear the actual cut without too much hype. Problem with Muse, they’ll never attract the metal heads as they are too varied with all their different genres. They are just so cool and incredibly down to earth, even though their material is on another planet - a futuristic ‘Blade Runner’ style world, far from the toxicity we live in today. Looking forward to the rest of the album tracks…still think there’s a hidden gem.
Lol I'm the same when it comes to seeing previews and trailers of things, I try to avoid them. I was surprised by it not being a produced video too, but I don't really mind. Do you think they'll do any more videos like that? Seems like there's still some of the story left untold.

So the way the synth stops like 5 seconds before the track ends.. I’m really hoping it’s changed on the album and it’s actually a transition to the next song and the next song would use this sound. But that’s hoping cuz that part sounded really cool!
