Using my John Deere 35G Excavator to get the logs up the hill out of the woods.

  • We are making lumber for Spring Hill Campground. After cutting a large fir tree down I needed to get the logs to where we could set up a Wood-Mizer sawmill. I had to build a small road but was able to get them out.

    Great video! I have been looking for an excavator in that size, hard to find other than new. Very interested in your campground, we have looked at similar on our 18 acre lake property. Keep videos going please.

      Thanks for watching. I looked for a used excavator for a long time. They are in such short supply the almost cost as much as new soi got the only new one left in our area.

    Nice video. Salvaging some 33" diameter grade A/B Doug Fir that would be great for long beams--any recommendations on where to process it?

      Where are you located? There seems to be a lot of portable mills out there working. My friends that run mills say that people that know the market are making a killing on selling big beams right now.
